Woke up an hour or so ago, got the stoves going again and sat down to see what was happenig online with my morning coffee... glanced over at the outdoor thermometer... -30C (-22F)... Thats with no air movement around the thermometer... add in whatever the wind was and it's fucking COLD... Plugged the truck block heater in to start warming it up, plugged the battery charger in to make sure the battery was up and full.... while I was plugging the charger in, the cord to it SNAPPED from the cold...
yeah we've been havin some sick cold ones here too, -45-50 with windchill some days.... youd think after all these years we'd be used to these winters by now, but every once in awhile i find myself shocked by how cold it is......
And I thought I had it bad with a measly temperature of 10 F Although coupled with winds gusting to 38 mph it does feel like -20 F Hotwater
Don't worry we probably never will and only place around here comparable would be mount washington new hampshire http://www.mountwashington.org/weather/summit.php Hotwater
OMG I know! I'm near Toronto, and I had to shelter myself in bloody subway waiting to go to one of my classes. Monday is supposed to be like +8 though lol
plus 8?....thats not what breakfast tv told me...its calling for minus 14 monday in southern on.....sorry noela ...my sis lives near tom..constsnt battle with the elements..its the price you pay liviv up in the woods
It's not too much of a price considering we don't have earthquakes or tornadoes or poisoness plants or animals and so forth as a general rule... although I will admit... I wouldnt mind trading a tornado or two for a couple of extra degrees of warmth... lol
i agree..the benefits far out weigh the down side...although my bro in law damn near burned down the house trying to thaw out some pipes in south river
-23 here with -33 windchill...I never plug in vehicles they always start for me if I make sure the oil is fresh and I use 5w/30...the snowblowers and four wheeler get 0w/30 though
fuck canada. I dont mind when its 25 here but negative 25 is pushing it. when it hits 10 degrees i wanna move to florida. i cant imagine it being like that most of the time
Its icefishing season, going to be a banner year for it too I think I love winter, its alot easier to warm up than it is to cool down.
