Woke up an hour or so ago, got the stoves going again and sat down to see what was happenig online with my morning coffee... glanced over at the outdoor thermometer...

    -30C (-22F)...

Thats with no air movement around the thermometer... add in whatever the wind was and it's fucking COLD...

Plugged the truck block heater in to start warming it up, plugged the battery charger in to make sure the battery was up and full.... while I was plugging the charger in, the cord to it SNAPPED from the cold...

No wonder it's difficult to thaw out sometimes. You are a stiffer man than I care to be.

And I thought I had it bad with a measly temperature of 10 F :(

Although coupled with winds gusting to 38 mph it does feel like -20 F [IMG]

    38mph winds take -30C (-22f) to -50C (-58f)...

just to give you the proper perspective on that... :)

It's not too much of a price considering we don't have earthquakes or tornadoes or poisoness plants or animals and so forth as a general rule...

although I will admit... I wouldnt mind trading a tornado or two for a couple of extra degrees of warmth... lol
