Can any one ACCURATELY tell me what Rosicrucian doctrine is on Christ? Also, I am interested in Golden Dawn and OTO doctrine on Christ as well. I assume they are the same or similar. The more in depth and detailed the response the better. As I am exploring what Christ's place might be within my own cosmology. I'm a seeker, avidly, looking for the purest truth and enlightenment on this subject. Thanks

Interesting new path, mojave. You think there's any connection between the Rosicrucians and those guys in the intricately carved subterranean halls?
Psychseeker, thanks for the links! Much appreciated. Zen, Yes, I feel there is a definite connection there. From life times ago down to now. I have always been attracted to, and felt an affinity for, Rosicrucian and similar philosophy's and teachings this time around. And, as a teen and twenty-something, had a circle of friends who felt the same. Though none of us went so far as to actually join any of these orders. But, we collected and studied some of their books, and shared what each learned and knew. Growing up in The South Bay, I lived only a few miles from the Rosicrucian San Jose Head quarters. Which my family often visited for their Egyptian Museum. Which, syncronistically, is only approx 3-5 miles from the Winchester Mystery House, another metaphysical center in it's own way. And, those visits to the museum were my first connection to, and enlightenment on, The Rosicrucians -- this time around. Mom and Dad had no metaphysical interests at all, other than Protestantism. But, they were open minded explorers of the physical world and it's knowledge - like the Egyptian Museum and Winchester House. Both of these places fascinated me, and as I aged into adulthood I continued to frequently visit both, much more so than my family had done -- especially the Egyptian Museum. Whenever we visited there, I could feel the metaphysical energetic charge of the place, and reveled in it. And -- I always got the hooked into the Akkashik Records feeling, of sensing time across it's length and breadth. A feeling of ancientness beyond this existence, and of inspiration. A oneness with all that has been, as if it was at my disposal in some way that I just couldn't quite fully complete. I suspect you know that feeling, or something similar -- from the great halls of the Temple. Any way, I have danced along the edge of this path since about age 10. And now, another step in that dance is taken. There is something to learn there. And, I am drawn to it in my own way.
Hi. I sincerely believe that Max Heindel's (1865-1919) Rosicrucian writings will be able to answer your question, in a most logical and accurate manner. The following section at the Wikipedia article « Christ » was written as an early attempt to present a very brief introduction to the Nature and Mission of the Christ (Matthew 16:16), from the viewpoint of the Esoteric Christian philosophy of the Rosicrucians: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christ#Western_Wisdom_Teachings (should you wish, you may follow, near the bottom of the article, the references of this section for an in depth comprehension). Allow me to recall that although Max Heindel promulgates an extensive and far-reaching body of the Christian occult knowledge, he also emphasizes that "The Rosicrucians do not regard an intellectual understanding of God and the Universe as an end in itself. (...)" (The RCC, 1909). APPLIED Knowledge (to every, even if apparently insignificant, aspect of our daily life) together with unselfishness SERVICE to our fellow man, in a spirit of all-embracing altruism, is the tone, being Purity the key; thus, Heindel, living the teachings which he taught, recalls through his writings the words of the German mystic Angelus Silesius: « Though Christ a thousand times in Bethlehem be born And not within thyself, thy soul will be forlorn. The Cross of Golgotha thou lookest to in vain Unless within thyself it be set up again. » May the Light of the Christ guide you through this noble Quest of yours, my dear Christ-in-the-making friend. Cheers, from Portugal.
I got a subscription to FATE magazine with my allowance money when I was 11, and I saw the ads in it from the Rosicrucians. If my allowance had been more lucrative I probably would have joined then. As it turns out, the mystery I was seeking came to me in my daily life. My spirit guide Deanna calls herself a modern-day apostle, and she said I'm one too. I sometimes wonder about that. But as I told her and she agreed, the dungeon door needs to be opened and the light allowed to shine in and expose the dungeon's contents so that the things that were acting under cover of darkness lose their power over us. Seems like that's where I am on that path right now. So if Rosicrucianism is about Christ in the making in each of us, it could be another valid path to the same destination. I do wonder about those "great halls of the Temple," though. Maybe I'll see and remember all that more clearly someday.
As far (I) could learn, nor the Rosicrucians (cf. Fama Fraternitatis: "that gratis"), nor any other true Mystery School, neither the messengers of their exalted teachings would ever charge for lessons or require a monthly membership fee. The example was set by the Christ Who tells His disciples to go to the lost sheep of Israel and to preach the gospel and heal the sick. But he also tells them to provide neither gold, silver, brass, nor scrip for their journey. Although, it is true there are expenses to be met (in the case of preparatory school in the physical world, which require no publicity), that there is a law in nature that we cannot obtain anything for nothing and that there are those that will take all and give nothing (though this debts will come to them soon or later through God's laws operating in silence but with extreme efficiency); nonetheless, each offering must come as a result of the inner promptings of the HEART. Christ's stronghold. (source) Please, allow me also to share a most sublime poem by William Wordsworth (1827) that i have found a few years ago, which may not be far from your destination: IN my mind's eye a Temple, like a cloud Slowly surmounting some invidious hill, Rose out of darkness: the bright Work stood still: And might of its own beauty have been proud, But it was fashioned and to God was vowed By Virtues that diffused, in every part, Spirit divine through forms of human art: Faith had her arch--her arch, when winds blow loud, Into the consciousness of safety thrilled; And Love her towers of dread foundation laid Under the grave of things; Hope had her spire Star-high, and pointing still to something higher Trembling I gazed, but heard a voice--it said, "Hell-gates are powerless Phantoms when 'we' build." From Portugal, thank you for the attention you have devote to these words and i wish the Best unto you too, my dear Disciple friend.
To fmk: To be honest, I don't clearly remember the exact requirements for joining when I was 11 - it was a long time ago. Clearly an organization needs resources, but to an eleven-year-old resources are generally tighter than for an adult. And as organizations go, I now prefer the invisible organization of the spirits to the visible organizations of humans. But I appreciate your insights, and the sublime passage from Wordsworth is reminiscent of a recent mention in this forum of the cosmic laugh. I'm sure mojave will thank you when he catches up with the latest events on his thread.
If you say those words over and again, I am, I am, I am, they begin to sound like maya, maya, maya, sanskrit for illusion. To the extent to which you are honest, honesty meaning consistency, with the I am statement, to that extent do you manage the discipline.
Well, obviously neither would one assume it would be otherwise. Nonetheless, pls. bear in mind, that most probably to the majority of our fellow man(kind) the mentioned visible association(s) of humans may provide the turning point in their lives to the Invisible... HOPE, the only gift of the gods left in Pandora's box. « May the Roses bloom upon Your Cross »
Of course, the spirits work through the agency of human associations, in whatever form. It's just my personal preference to choose what might seem like a "formless" form to most eyes - but all human associations are part of an invisible form more intricate and inscrutable than any named human organization, and every association is valuable within that invisible form.
I amaya. The miraculous transformation of the formless ground of being to the mundus! LOL So maybe then a disciplined consistency of moving my thoughts from maya to I am would achieve the opposite.
That's. It. It's like skating along the edge of a razor. When you say it like that, I can almost feel it. Almost...
