Hello, can you remember the days of your childhood, when you thought about what to do with the 50 Pfenning (or Cents ;-)) you just obtained from your grand pa? You went to a kiosk and bought two green drops, two yellow and three red drops, five white mice and some other stuff. You got a huge paper bag of sweets for your money. Nowadays there exist only a few shops that are happy to sell you a single white mouse and you will be a little bit disappointed of you lock in your paper bag worth of 50 Pfenning of sweets. Regards Gyro
There used to be a sweet shop about a mile from my house that was run by a elderly couple that sold penny candies. My friends and I would pool our monies and go get those little red fish or licorice for a penny each, or maybe some small chocolates I think were about a nickle.
http://www.typetive.com/candyblog/item/things_that_wont_be_there_anymore_baldingers/ candy store not to far from me, place is classic,. penny candy , though Ive literally spent $100's here by now..
That is very similar to the store I was talking about only a little bigger. It sucks its closing. You should go drop 50 bucks there before it closes, properly stored candies will last for years. eppermintstick:
Hello, one time I was into these yellow gums that were shaped like french fries and tasted sourish like hell . Salty licorice was another classic. That shop looks huuuge. Regards Gyro
Hello, I not exactly sure, but I think it's originated from the scandinavian countries. It's a strong licorice (with lots of ammonium chloride?) that tastes salty. Some sorts have only a salty crust. Regards Gyro
Hello, imagine you hide yourself behind the candy canes and they lock you in over night. Regards Gyro
