What do you people know about using cut-down 2-litre bottles for PF Tek Cake terrariums? Is the success rate good? How many times per day would someone want to fan new air inside? Would they want to spray water on them at all? Thx
You might honestly be better off just going invitro. Wait till a couple days after it hits 100% colonization, then start giving it some light and lower the temps, inside the jar.
a rubbermaid tub? what is that? I am mainly looking for a cheap/easy way to get a decent terrarium setup. Is there any reason this wouldn't work?
Like a rubbermaid storage container.. That's what I use for a fruiting chamber, but I use a bulk method, not PF. Either way it works...
i think you should go with the plastic tub. all you'll need is a drill to put holes in it for a shotgun terrarium... it'll take $5 out of your pocket maybe but isn't it worth it for the little guys
Ahhh yes, after posting this thread I discovered the shotgun terrarium. I think I am going to make one of those, a few poor mans terrariums using candy tubs and ziplocs, and well as two or three moderate-sized containers to try doing a few casings. I'll see how it goes and fugure out what seems to work best for me. Im basically just looking for an efficient setup that doesn't require a fish tank bubbler or anything of the sort.
lol. I been finding bins in the trash.. Ok these people arent really throwing them away, they are for their recyclables .. I dont know this, I just moved here.. ? i dont know why anyone would buy new rubbermaids for trash but some people are stupid and for their stupidity the trashman took em...
