Jade Buddha for universal peace festivals

so i live in escondido and out of nowhere i noticed a big buddhist thing spring up.

I found out that this is a big world tour peace fest and the jade buddha will be brought to the festivals all over.
Anyone know anything else about it or if anyone will be going because this seems really cool and I'm totally gonna be there but i kinda want to know what its going to be like

 

I dont know about it, but if you mean Escondido, Calif, then you have one of the most wonderful Zen monasteries in America there. It's called Deer Park Monastery and is a part of the Order of Interbeing, founded by the very awesome master Thich Nhat Hanh.
