Also, Valentines day can be whatever one wants it to be...
Every couple is different, some couples like watching lovey dovey movies and going out to a candle-lit dinner, and having sex in the moonlight.
Other couples like getting high and playing chess.
Some other couples like vandalizing cars and tripping old ladies across the street and giggling their asses off.
Valentines day is just a way of spending time with your significant other, and romance can come in so many different perspectives.
I know one may say, "but you should spend that much time together EVERYDAY!" - yeah, some should... but some can't. The title on the day can almost be an excuse for someone to take work off and say "sorry, taking my girlfriend out for valentines day."

And after ALL of this, the gloom poops who cry and say they don't have anyone, relationships doesn't always have to mean a significant other. Hang with people who you have feelings for. Friends, family, even your dog.
Its just a loving day.
So to all the people who hate this day for the lovey dovey outlook, stop whining.
The only person who can whine on the 14th is my dad, because his dad died on Valentines day. now THATS a real excuse.

really though, death is part of life. you can't let the anniversary of every death become an automatic bad day, or else by the time you're old EVERY day is a day of mourning.
