I was interested in trying the mimosa hostilis and syrian rue drink, were you mix 8 gram of the mimosa bark with 3 grams of syrian rue. I was wondering if anyone has tried this, and what the outcome was, mostly on the nausea, and a little on how much of a spiritual trip it is. thanks ben
there is an ayahuasca website www.ayahuasca.com hosted on www.yage.net ... your doses are about right; how to prep 'em into a "palatable" brew is something else... rue & mhrb ayalog can be pretty yucky... it's fairly easy to extract the rue seeds into a pretty crystal pile... (using vinegar & salt --- yields mostly harmine & harmaline hydrochloride) & thus much of the less desirable chems are eliminated... as for the mhrb, an acidic simmer, filtration, & then allowing the brew to settle overnight & carefully decanting the burgundy liquid (leaving behind the sediment) may help overcome some of the irritating tannins... but g.i. upset is still a distinct possibility... visit the aya forums for plenty more info, mmkay?
