Dude you posted the picture backwards..

and theory I think is really important to improve your guitar skills, and teachers are good with helping with that, Ive taught myself so far like 10 years, but I had a few really good lessons that helped me out.. Im hoping to find another good jazz guitar teacher and work on my theory some more

I think its called the cycle of 5ths thats a really good thing to study.. and theory isnt just for guitar its music theory

Iam basically learning the sounds of the chords these days and iam also dropping the pick and using my hand so iam able to produce that certain sound i like on the acousitic once i buy one....The theory seems interesting and iam just about to finish the shapes of the G major scale, once iam finished with that iam gonna play around for awhile with it until i know it....Guitar tabs? I never knew the defintion of tabs, i thought it was just showing the way to play certain guitar songs? I have alot of learning to do lol :)

And thats how i found it on google, searched it, went to the images and boom shacka lacka thats the guitar i seen...Ill post some pictures of myself perhaps along with my guitar in the future...Possibly youtube if i become how i want to be :cheers2:

Personally, I don't think anyone needs "scheduled lessons" per say, but everyone clearly needs teachers of some kind. Whether it be an internet site, a book, an individual or something written on a piece of paper.

I taught myself to play the guitar and the ukulele, and although I feel I could be much better (who couldn't?) I still can jam with others, make up stuff on my own, read tab quickly, know multiple scales, all the major chords and various others etc...etc...

The key is really just dedication, as with anything else in life that you want to be "good" at. If you feel you need/want lessons then go ahead and get them, no harm done...but they certainly aren't necessary.

It can definitely help having someone teach you something, because they already understand it and can readily answer any questions you may have. A great side way to learn is to simply question musicians you come across and learn bits and pieces of their "style" and thoughts as you go along.

Music theory can do wonders for your playing, and can allow you to start to "piece things together" much better.....there's certainly many complicated concepts to grasp at first in this very broad category, but there's some very simply things like the 1-4-5 that can make you a much more versatile player and the only toll is a bit of time and thought to commit it to memory.

Edit...I just read your last post, and yeah tabs are basically music notation in a simplistic form for a specefic instrument....guitar tabs are just the strings and a reference to which fret to play...more advanced tabs signal things like hammer ons, pull offs, slides etc...etc...

Re: taking lessons ... it all depends on how good you want to be, and how many bad habits you're willing to live with. If you don't get some kind of teaching from somebody who really knows what they're doing, you will forever be limited and you will more than likely develop some bad habits. But if you're just playing around for yourself, maybe that's ok. You can still make good sounds. You just won't be professional-quality, unless you're some kind of prodigy who picks it up naturally.

I've been playing guitar for 45 years. I had maybe a dozen classical guitar lessons in that time and learned a ton of techniques and "correct" ways of doing things that I probably never would have learned on my own. So for me the lessons were absolutely worth it.

I would say strictly speaking knowing music theory isn't "necessary". You can learn chord fingerings and all that without knowing theory. But damn, things make a hell of a lot more sense if you understand what's going on underneath. It's not like it's all that difficult, either. We're not talking differential calculus here. So my opinion is to take the time and learn some theory. It will greatly enhance your understanding of music as a whole. And besides, I happen to think it's interesting as hell.
