Back when i was on shroomery forums, i heard in the growing section that by injecting chemically similar alkaloids to psilocybin (like DMT, 5-MeO-DMT etc.) then the fully grown shrooms contain that alkaloid instead of psilocybin...any body else heard this or know anything more? I think it was off an article, does anybody have the link?

I heard about that sort of thing on pot. Sounds like a fucking retarded idea, and I'll tell you why.

You start out with shrooms, potentially valuable and psychedelic in their own right. Then you take DMT (or whatever), also psychedelic and valuable in it's own right.

Now you mix the shrooms and dmt, giving you contaminated, difficult to dose shrooms, and no DMT.

now your shrooms will be more likely to die or become mouldy, etc, and will not be as potent because they've been injured. On top of that, your DMT is in your shrooms so it's hard to tell how much you're getting, and lots of it will be decayed or broken down to boot.

Bad idea. Take seperate drugs and mix then when your'e ready to take them. There is NO reason to do that, unless you're trying to rip people off. I've heard of liquid LSD on non psychedelic shrooms, etc. Don't try to fuck with peoples drugs, they'll take it seriously and fuck with your face.

You have no clue at all what youre talking about. Stop it.

Yes, you could infuse a substrate with a synthetic tryptamine. Psilocybian mushrooms will 4-hydroxylize anything they can get ahold of that has a tryptamine backbone. No, it wont contaminate the mushrooms, or make them decay. That doesnt even make sense.

You couldnt add DMT and come out with mushrooms with only DMT in them, but if you would maybe grow some woodlovers on MHRB or something, you might end up with extremely high levels of psilocin and normal levels of psilocybin. AFAIK, nobody has actually tried and documented this.

No, i won't stop. I haven ever grown shrooms with DMT, you're right, but I still have a good dose of common fucking sense. This kid wants to sell worthless shit as shrooms, look at his age.... (if I judged you wrong from the hundreds just like that who act just like you, my sincirest apologies. :coffee: )

I didn't say the DMT would by nature kill the shrooms, I'm saying that any delicate chemical WILL start to break down when exposed to the chemicals and processes inside a mushroom (or pretty much any other organism), and will not be ideal mushroom food or friendly to a mushrooms life cycle, so it could very well cause less healthy shrooms, with less DMT than was originally added, and abnormal chemistry it many other ways.

To summerize: you're an idiot if you waste DMT or anything else while at the same time contaminating shrooms. Not calling you an idiot for asking, gotta ask to know... but think about it: you fuck with the additional chemical and it's dosing, and you fuck with the shrooms and their dosing... and use a valuable chemical. It's an overall loss, when you could work to grow the best shrooms and extract the best dmt and have both, instead of some bastardized shrooms.

That's a very good point, about difficulty in dosing and stuff but i gotta say a few things....

    1. I wouldn't sell entheogens, i would only really give them away (especially if i had got them free) XD
    2. Injecting alkaloids into substrates is playing god, and not really worth it.
    3. Your right about it being a massive waste of DMT since it isn't even orally active but i was just using that as an example cos of it's similarity to psilocybin
    4. Thanks for at least this 'Not calling you an idiot for asking, gotta ask to know'

But yeah, it's still pretty interesting even if it's just a no-go :)

Once again, you have no fucking clue what you are talking about. Fucking stop it or show me a source.

It can be done, and in fact has been patented. Im not every other kid on here. I dont just spout off shit with no source for my information.

actually it has been tried and documented several different ways many a times... and to elaborate on what you were saying and maybe clear some things up, im not sure what you meant when you said "you might end up with extremely high levels of psilocin", after the 4-hydrolxylization you are left with no psilocin technically making the end product legal as it has hydroxylized the 5meodmt and created 4,5 HO-MEO-DMT

the only cases i have personally seen the grower had added some MHRB to his substrate everytime there were no noticable differences in potency or effects

edit: i dont remember where i read that

Do you have any links? Id love to see a grow log of it.

Where does the methoxy group come from? I was talking about growing Psilocybe Cyanescens (for example) on a substrate that contains high amounts of mimosa hostilis root bark. In theory, the mushroom should 4-hydroxylize the N,N-DMT tannate contained in the bark into psilocin.

What kind of mushroom were they growing? Cubensis isnt gonna cut it, as it wont eat the wood.

Besides that, to really know whether or not it worked, you would need to work with a clone, and do 2 grows side-by-side, one on standard Alder, and one on MHRB, then do a proper extraction (including chromatography) of several fruits, from several flushes, from each tub and then evaluate the levels of psilocin. I doubt any of those people did that.

you are correct in that finding out if it truly worked would be a PITA and look around at the topia i have been a memeber there for a few years under different names and have seen a few grows over the years with both mhrb and phalaris grass both were for cubes for the mhrb it was more of a shits and giggles thing and SWIMs ratio of mhrb was very low the phalaris grow was on another OMC site ill try to dig these 2 in particular up for you though
