    Hi folks!!!

did a big road trip, a couple years back.. 2005-2006.. something like +20,000 actual travel miles..

key west.. virginia.. katrina.. mississippi.. michigan.. washington..montana & n. dakota.. up & down the west coast from san diego to seattle twice.. arizona.. grand canyon.. back to california.. san louis obispo, fresno.. utah.. st. louis.. .. long trip.. 8 months, all told, in my old, rumbling 1974 camper..

Finished another one, pretty recently.. mid-west.. florida, back to the west coast, new mexico, colorado... back south.. louisiana..

maybe another 30,000, all told, but in my little toyota, instead...

I just bought a school bus..

    cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ite...

Not sure when i'm going out in her, but.... eventually...

if this happens i am NOT looking for a two week partner.. riders are welcome, but this is going to be a solid road trip on the order of at least a few months, and longer, depending upon work, on the way.

gas & food will not be too big a deal, if we're carefull.
the game plan is drive wherever the fk it seems good to, park where we can, wander around, head out, & do it again..

there *may* be room for 1 non-shedding dog..

my last trips i did by myself.. people kept telling me they wanted to go, but no one stuck to their departure plans, or didn't need to go that far, & even though i met some great people, most of them only needed a ride of a few hundred miles..

i have never really had to spange when i've traveled, & when i can, i always provide for others.

you won't need to lay out any money, except your food, and probably not even much for that, if the cooking is done on board.

i'll be heading out with enough to cover the trip pretty well..

i love photoging, too, but mostly for memories.. have a 'lil digital (and enough jerry-rigged power for a computer & printer).. hoping i'll get some writing done i've been trying to finish..

    etc etc etc...

i'm not sure who'll be responding, sooooo... just a heads up.. if the right mix materializes, in terms of mechanically competent people, i may try & mount the chasis on an M35 multifuel (biodiesel) chasis & use her as a tribal vehicle..... but again, it depends on how much magic occurs.

    anyways..

like i said, john, older than, say.. if age is a big deal then i'm too old..

    & there 'y go..

    take care, & peace,

Your link doesn't work. By the way.

And just FYI, if you search bus or school bus on ebay, a fucking sick 48 suburban for cheap shows up... at least, I appriciated it :p

that sounds really really interesting. i myself was looking for a schoolbus to buy. for exactly the same reason. 1 quick question, how much is insurance for something like that, i head it was a lot, thats why im curious. I am totally down for a road trip anytime. as long as u make a pit stop in NY. I like to work with my hands, and am very crafty.
if ur gonna make a pitstop, i would LOVE to come along. ive been meaning to leave NY for the longest time. and you provide the perfect way. Im also a good cook, and a skilled driver. and money souldnt be that much of an issue.

drugs arent an issue with me, but i have to ask. Whats your view on drugs, do you smoke? do you trip?

send me a PM if u wanna chat a little more.
