Mid-West Rainbow Gathering of the Tribes

Hey everyone.

I plan on attending at least 2 weeks of this gathering (all month if my work will let me... not likely!) and I was hoping to connect with some other people who intend to go as well. I will be driving from central Minnesota if anyone needs help getting there.

it's apparently in Stephen'sForest (Lucas County) same woods as last year - easy .

My partner and I live in OKC and are hoping to ride with you to the Iowa gathering. We can pull our weight and will carry only a few bags.

anyone know roughly how many people are going to show up? or how many did last year?

 

i read 300 persons last yr., but this will be the frist yr. that its being posted on the web. i think a bunch will show up . if you go to rainbow family gatherings and scroll down to discussion. click on view all discussion. you will find most of your ??? s answered there.

 

howdy folks if ne1 has extra time after this event. it would appear that a float trip could be made from the genearal location of this event to, quite possibly, shawnee. just something to consider.

 

If all goes well, Ill be coming up to the gathering from Texas.

Im interested in hearing more about this.

 

Good info but that place seemd kinda red. Or I should say the sign up process was nosey.lol
They required myspace info or your web site and personal contact info to join. I dont mind volunteering my info if I want to and it prolly wont hurt any but im not diggin being required to give it up to join a forum.

Very cool, i SO much want to float into a gathering. I got a 15 ft Pelican kayak on layaway. 1 or maybe 2 more payment left!

 

ya'll are gonna get your selves in trouble posting live url's to another social site. It's ok if it's blogs or news or ect. just not for other socializing sites. It's not my rule, but we agreed to it when we sighned up at this site, wich is a pretty cool site. You can say,"Look at my page for contact info." you are allowed to do it there. I'm not tellin ya to be a pain in your sides, I'm just tryin to help ya's understand so you dont get in trouble here. Much lovins, safe travels,

for more info, read my thread "new project". there may be some digging involved for the thread. the time between here & shawnee would be about right. of course there may well some portage involved. & one may need to dodge barges on the miss R. i don`t get much time on computers, otherwise i would post much more. i kinda need some help putting on a logo for this concept. it involves putting a large amount of smiley type on. but when i post it gets garbled. like this:

Haven't been to one in years.

I definitely recommend it though!

(Go with a level head and use common sense at all gatherings, but it can also be one of the coolest experiences of your life!)
