Did anyone get on birth control pills while they were in college through the college's health department? I am, but I have no idea how much it'll cost since it's by the school. Can someone throw out some figures?
no prob. only thing is, as far as i know, they don't offer generics in low-hormonal varieties.. so if you try a pill at first and it doesn't agree with you and you still have side effects after 3 months then don't give up and try another one if you are still set on using the pill. i was put on a generic brand at first and it made me nauseous, tried another generic with different chemistry, still side effects, then got a low-hormone one and it was cool and was on it for years.
well i don't know if colleges offer the brands or not, i forget. but the cheap prices are because they are generic and not brand-name pills. from what i remember, there are no generic forms of low-hormonal pills but that may have changed within the past year or so.
Ok. Well thanks again Hopefully the low hormones won't mess with me. The gyno said I'll also have to get a pap which i'm scared sh*tless about. Never had one before.
you're welcome a pap test is done so quick, it'll feel like the easiest thing in the world once it's done. it's kind of an uncomfortable feeling but it's nothing really major. the best advice i have is to just breathe and think about laying on the beach or something positive so you can keep your muscles relaxed.
Well it's good to hear it doesn't take a long time. I definitely appreciate the responses DazedGypsy!!
sure thing!! it'll be over before ya know it props to you for taking care of yourself and being smart about things eace:
