I made some caanbutter macaroni and cheese last night. I used 7 grams of mid-grade cannabis in my butter and followed the directions accordingly. The taste was miserable. I gagged and almost puked on the last few bites. But i got HIGH HIGH HIGH. Along with a few gravity rips on the comeup, i was fucked. Definately worth trying though....
If you don't mash the plant matter in with the butter when you are straining it the taste will not be as bitter. What you are tasting is chlorophyll. Then again it also depends on how you cooked it. Next time you want to make mac n cheese make your own sauce. It's very easy and will taste better. If you want me to come up with a recipe that will not make you gag just let me know. Later
Yeah. I was trying to get the most bang for my buck. I used as much bud in as little butter as possible. I did squeeze every drop of butter out of the bud and it was almost TOO much butter in the mac and cheese. I was under the impression that the most THC would be suspended in the butter that is soaked into the bud so it wouldn't be potent unless i squeezed every last drop out.
did the same thing with 1 gram of schwag and got baaaaked 7 grams is a bit overkill, especially if you are trying to use as little butter, most of the THC wont and CANT be dissolved...basic chemistry would tell you this - stay in school
You squeezed out all of the chlorophyll, very bitter. I have found you only need about 1 gram to 1 ounce of butter. Unless you want to get more blazed. I mostly cook with swagg only so mids or better is the key to stronger butter. The THC will attach to the fat in the butter so once it's cooked it's fine. You can squeeze it out just don't squeeze it too much.
Huh, well. Ok. So, think of it like a tea bag. When you make tea you don't squeeze out the tea bag because it will make your tea bitter. It's called the dregs.
