I visited a gardener the other day, and his plants were about 4' tall after 2 months of veg under a 1kw HPS light, from clones. the sunleave fans were bigger than my hand maybe 10"+ diameter, they were in soil a 'home mix', and not a discolored leaf to be seen! He says all he uses for nutes is Super Thrive, my question is has anyone else tried this? I read an article about Super Thrive and it's inventor a couple of years ago and thought about tring it, but it couldn't be that easy, could it? Here we mix n match nutes, soils, etc. and here a beginner showed me something; so simple and simply beautiful plants, can't hardly wait to see the buds when they develope!>O
never heard of it.. but im gona be changing up nutes on somethings for experimental reasons... probable soon. Ill try and look out for it..
i've heard alot of people talk about it but never have tried it myself.......almost bought it once walking through lowes and noticed a small bottle but it was alittle pricey for the size of the bottle so i put it back. I've heard people swear by it in all different stages of growth..........some swear to only use it during just rooted clone or seedling stage to promote strong healthy root growth right from the get go..........some swear by it in veg and others swear by it for the whole grow..............doses usually ranging between 1-3 drops per gallon of water if i remember right.... EDIT: sorry the pic is so big, but some of that writing would be tiny if not blown up like this.
Yeah I read an article in Maximum Yield I think t'was abot the maker and his product, sound like great stuff, if what I saw lasts till harvest OMG! As ya know I'm always looking for the easiest way from point A point B! WOO HOO! no more mixin!
that guys an idiot. it says on the bottle its NOT a standalone fert. MH in veg and HPS in flower feed your plants well and they will grow well. as for superthrive it is good stuff 1drop-1cc per gal. in veg and none in flower.great results. its a vitamin and supplement.
Ya never know it might even work and would.nt be so smug then. Still i'm up for giving it a go on my head.
Naw! not bald he kicked us to the curb:>( But we have to see him occasionally 'cause he's holding our grand daughters hostage! So I'm forced to see what he's done with the grow rooms I set up when we visit the girls!>z
superthrive is definitely not a miracle nute, it helps but its not the kinda stuff you want to use a whole lot in flowering if at all or you'll get the taste of it in the final product unless you cure it forever.
I use ST during veg mainly, and I see a big difference in the health of my plants than when I don't use it. I got some other stuff that is cheaper than ST, but basically does the same thing, but I forgot the name. If I find it, I'll post it up here.
It is a great product for stimulating root growth after transplanting and seems to help plants recover faster from any sort of stress. You will definately need more nutes along with it. It`s only vitamins and hormones. Your buddy must have a really fertile soil mixture. Try just adding it to your feeding regemin. Even the legendary Soma suggests using this product after transplanting.
It's a sad story of elder abuse. But seriously folks, we're working toward getting another place where we may grow our own, Yippee!!!!>)
