Freegan Commune/Collective in NY? (Or elsewhere, all things considered.)

Hey. I figured this would be the only other place where people would possibly have an interest in something like this. Also, this is the only place I would trust meeting people off the internet from. haha

I want to converge with a group of people who share space and resoures. Also, with other people who want to dissociate from our ruthless, superficial, capitalistic society. It doesn't even have to be a long-term thing; we can all just live collectively for the summer. We could dumpster-drive, occupy vacant space (the city or in a more cut-off area from where we could still reach businesses)

We could work something else out, too; I'm up for almost anything.

having a temporary collective could be a better ideal, you know a trial run for people who aren't sure if they want to commit themselves to something.
