I wasn't sure if i believed it or not (tho a part of me did).. but i just gotta say..I'm pretty convinced now..i saw a show on NGC that showed scientific studies that proved it to be true. it scares me to think about it and yea..it makes me sad to.. but how i feel isn't the point.. the question i have for all of you is: Do you believe the world will end in 2012.? if you do.. do you go on living you life as if everything is okay.? dwelling on what doesn't matter.? are you trying to live your life to the fullest.? tho i believe it now and had my suspicions before, i haven't done anything to better my life.to make it all worth while...i guess the point of this is...i wanna know if this is "normal". if this is what other people who believe it are doing. please give your thoughts and opinions. (weather you believe or not.)
There is no 'scientific evidence' that anything is going to happen in 2012. If I've missed something, please link me.
If it makes you feel better, you're a child and you'll probably live to be an adult unless you go skateboarding without a helmet. No real scientists believe in that. Most fake scientists don't. Interestingly, the Mayans didn't believe it. December 2012 was an arbitrary end date to a calender cycle... like December 31st. Nothings going to happen, so I'm treating December 2012 like I'm spending January 2013. Drunk.
In fact if anything, you should go around wearing a helmet and not have a worry in the world about 2012.
i have never heard of scientific evidence. i dont beleiv it. you can beleiv it if you choose but i wouldnt let it run your views on things beacause it probably wont happen. and if it does then wherever we go to you will have the last laugh. keep it real - man on a journey
I really dont think anything will happen, but then again i may be wrong and were all doomed to burn in an apocalyptic hell. I guess it all comes down to how you feel about life in general, i feel i have lived a full life and if it does happen it will just be another day, whether i spend it living or dead i am ready for whatever the future holds, i am ready for death. Although there is much more i could and can still do; overall i have a been there done that attitude and to be honest i kind of hope there is some sort of undead zombie outbreak so i can go out with a blast. Overall i agree with what the poster above said, your still young and more than likely you wont get off this dirtball that easily... although it is fun to think about! but i wouldn't worry about it... if Hollywood makes a movie about it chances are itll blow over just like y2k and every other "doomsday" date for the past century.
Hollywood did make a movie. Roland Emmerich, the dude who did Independence Day and Day After Tomorrow.
Yeah, i know it wasn't bad, the script sucked but the cgi was cool, im just saying its quite unbelievable i think ima join you on this:
Yeah, that's his bread and butter. Sort of like Michael Bay and explosions where there should be none. And Michael Bay is with sucking.
The world could not possibly end in 2012 because we all know it ended after the second coming of christ in Y2K. Fucking duh.
To the untrained mind, arguments can appear to be proof, when in fact they are far from it. Rather i would suggest that the video was probably convincing, but i doubt very much it proved anything. (i haven't seen said video).
No I don't believe it. Just because the Mayan Calendar ends... maybe they were just really fucking tired and figured they had gone far enough for the time being and they'd pick up where they left off some other time. They their culture was destroyed, so they didn't Anyway, it is nothing that I worry about.
I agree, i mean they had to stop some time and if they calculated until the sun blows up, that would be one huge calander.
Exactly, the time, resources, physical space and labour would be a massive cost if they calculated until the sun blows up, massive.
ive been reading up a bit on this subject lately and something is going to happen but scientists really have no idea what.in december in 2012 the earth, sun and other planetary bodies will line up with the milky way and magnetic fields will be affected but no one is really sure how. also,it wasnt just the mayans that predicted an event on this date but the chinese and the hopi indians did also.(a few other cultures also have but its late and im tired and cant remember which)planet x is also due to be close to the earth around that time and from what scientists can tell its packin alot of internal heat.bible believers call it wormwood but i dont buy it edgar cayce also predicted there will be some kind of event on that date but it wouldnt be planet ending like alot of doomsayers r saying. bottom line, the worlds not going to end in 2012 from whatever.personally,i believe there will be some climate changes but nothing more.so fear not,u can keep doing ur homework and scouting colleges remember Y2K? lol
