Heys... so this far I've fallen in love with Joe Pass. Some great stuff. What about any other jazz guitarists? (if possible guitar only, i disslike saxs and trompets in jazz, but guitars simply rock) Which would you recommend me? love, b
reinhart is awesome. Also check out John Scofield, Frank Gambale and George Benson (he's also a virtuose)
Checked the samples, I must say they sound quite good, although I still prefer Joe Pass to them. Joe Pass is the only jazz guitarist I've discovered so far, that only uses solo guitar and that's all. Anybody like that? Or perhaps, with the bass, but nothing else. No keyboards, no saxes, etc? Thanks anyway! Love, b
the absolute best jazz guitarist on the planet, bar none: (seriously, check him out) Lenny Breau. plays seven-string(?!?) died in the 80's. most beautiful chord-melody solo stuff you'll ever hear in your life.
John McLaughlin, Al Di Meola, Pat Metheny, Charlie Byrd, Lee Rittenour, Bill Frissell, Jan Akkerman, among many, many others.
