True, but what about situations where you pick up and are in the car, and your stash is in your trunk/under the hood, and you get pulled over for going 44 in a 45, or 47 in a 45(which does happen to people, trust me it happens to people), and the cop says he/she smells weed (Even though you don't smoke weed or cigs in the car, and your stash is in an airtight mason jar), he/she has the right to royally fuck you over.

I dont know if you mean you get nervous just going outside to smoke a Joint? If you do, your stressing yourself out over nothing. If your in the city, just find an alley or something...hell you could also just smoke walking down the street, and if you see a cop car, smoke it like a cigarette.

dont smoke in a car, dont have too much on you, basically just dont attract attention.

True, good advice. You live in Quebec, right? How do the cops handle weed encounters? it must be friendlier, at least somewhat, than compared to the majority of the U.S.
In some states in the U.S. by law the max penalty for any amount for possession of herb is 1 year in jail. That's an awful long time for a seed or a stem, but it's possible.

 

Weed is decriminalized in Canada, nothing to worry about.

Same here, if you're smoking a joint in your backyard, well you're too paranoid and should probably put the reefer down.

You've never been in trouble with the law for cannabis, have you? Until you do, you'll never really understand the frustration some people feel over the laws, and that can include paranoia.

 

Lol I've talked to the cops on 5 hits of acid when I walked downstairs and they were in my kitchen at 12:30 in the morning, when we had another 110 hits and a scale upstairs. I'm on probation right this second for other things and still have to be in situations where there are drugs in the car, don't tell me I don't know paranoia. Thinking the cops are going to burst into your house because you're smoking or they're going to suddenly appear in your backyard if you're smoking a joint and arrest you, you have paranoia issues, honestly you probably shouldn't be smoking weed period if you get that paranoid and stressed over it.

 

You know what TheMadcapSyd, you interpreted my post in a way that I did not intend. I am not always paranoid. When I posted in this thread asking for advice on what to do because the OP was pretty scary, it was a momentary emotion and I posted how I was feeling in that moment. Generalizing somebody's long-term emotional state from one post is probably not a good idea. I appreciate your advice, but it wasn't helpful.

Yeah, that is true. It's insane how you could possess in one state, and get a small fine, and in a neighboring state, you could be arrested and sentenced to jail or prison.

For example, in Maine you can grow upto 5 plants and receive 6 months in jail, whereas in Michigan you would get upto a year in jail for any amount.
That is insanity.

At least the supply will never run out.

ps orison: The us is 'divided' so much by statehood because those who originally founded the country were afraid of a large central government. The solution they imposed was dividing power by the states. We can all relate to what an out of control centralized gov't can do, but yes, it does seem ridiculous at times.

 

You can get raped in any prison, especially in a state like California where they're severely overcrowded. Also if you get felonies for drug dealing, you won't go to minimum, you'll go to medium at least.

 

maybe. From personal experience though, felonies for bud possession won't lend you medium. Certainly is some states it will, i suppose. A friend got two felonies for buds, 55 grams, didn't even see jailtime.

 

It all goes by state though, but if you get charged with felony possession and intent to sell within 1,500ft of a school you're pretty fucked. That'll send you direct to jail many times since states have minimum mandatory sentences often if it's within range of a school.
