The DE show was a lot of fun... minus the dready fedies and the assortment of other undercover cops that were arresting any family member they could.

Musically it was a solid show but I agree... bobby singing sugaree and ripple didn't sit well with me at the time... but the music behind the singing was solid.

damn seriously? i didn't see any of this sort of tihng going on at the show i went to...maybe there wasn't a lot of fam there because there wasn't much lucy goin around, though what was there was cheap and glorious

    fuck that shit

dready fedies...like dreadies that had gotten caught and resorted to turning others in as opposed to suffering the consequences of getting caught?...if thats not right what do you mean exactly? i've never heard that before

I'm pretty sure he just means the specific type of undercover cops who try really hard (a lot of the times successfully) to look hip and in and look very legit but tend to give themselves away when they try to talk. I see them everywhere at festies and thats why you have to have to be a really good judge of character or be with somebody who is at these shows, it sucks having to be paranoid in an atmosphere of pure love but I'd rather be paranoid than in prison. Its terrifying how our 20 dollar purchases for a night of fun can put us away for years!

But yeah I think he just means undercovers, not narks (Though you def gotta watch for them too!)

yeah being a good judge of character is key i saved two good friends from an undercover at camp bisco in 2008. he looked, well not chill, slightly thuggish but that fits in the scene at Camp. anyway as soon as he started talking it was OVER and i made one of my friends sit the fuck down...they were rolling face and i was beginning to trip...the sketchball was just like if i want to roll what kind of pills would i look for? and my friends about to whip out his bag and i get up jump on his ear and he takes off...the sketchy dude just stands there. eventually me and my best friend move. all three of us meet back up in the same location about 10 mins later and sketchball is gone.

im glad to have read this i wouldn't have thought a dready could be undercover...

I have been to 4 Furthur shows so far and DE was the only show with such a hardcore police presence. (that I attended)

What I ment by "dreadie fedies" is that there was a guy at the show with fake dreads (they looked flat and were held together at the middle/end with rubber bands) who was looking for drugs. Then arresting people if they had them.

There also were a lot of plain clothes officers who were looking for drugs and then busting people or in some cases, just taking people's money and drugs.

Anyway, FURTHUR is amazing and I highly recommend catching a show of theirs. Its about the headie music...

i got to the DE show late so i didnt have a chance to hang out in the lot and the rain didnt help at all, we got there parked and walked in and we were getting to our seats as the 1st set starting jam was starting...i think i was about to sit down as the set opener here comes sunshine started. the guy sitting next to me started smoking a bowl and i asked for a hit and he gave me it and then when he sat down to pack another bowl for his group i sat and asked if he had a dime or something i could buy and he sold me a $20 bag so i got that and during the set break my friend was talking to their friends and ended up buying acid off them so it was all good haha :) i didnt trip at the show though cause i had to get up the next morning so i just saved my hits for another time but it was totally worth it. i had an amazing time at the show

also, i just read on the furthur site about their summer tour dates and hopefully i can atleast make it to the lot for one the of PA shows this summer and hopefully All Good :)
