I just got back from the doctor and he scripted me 10mg paxil's that he wants me to take at bed time to help me sleep and get a good nights sleep. Due to the fact that no sleep aids work for me and cause it might help me take less xanax during the day and ill stop running out of my script towards the end. I have known many people to not have any problems when taking psychedelics, a handful of them will just need to take more to get the desired effect, but this was with a wide variety of anti-depressants, don't remember if any of them were on paxil. Are any of you on paxil, or any other SSRI and have issues while taking psychedelics? I dont take that many psychs as often...... well I guess I have been doing ALOT of K and Molly Input guys.
I was on paxil for about half a year i think. 50mg (!). stopped cold turkey. all it did for me was make it almost impossible to orgasm (3 hour blowjob had to be concluded by my right hand), made me gain 10 lbs, and made me even more lazy and depressed. hope it works well for you paxil will soften the effect of psychs.
There are only a couple of things worth mentioning. Don't drink alcohol, or be very careful, cause an SSRI will lower your tolerance dramatically. This means that you'll get drunk on less (YAY) but if you drink even a little more than it takes to get you nice and drunk, you'll get nice and sick (BOO). So be careful. Otherwise, nothing should really be affected, except I've heard tryptamine-based psychedelics (DMT, mushrooms, maybe LSD) might require a higher dose.
I can say from first hand experience with prozac and zoloft that the effects of ALL psychedelics (tryptamine + phenethylamines) are greatly reduced and not worth it. It's not just a matter of raising your dose, so even if you do take huge doses you won't be able to get the kind of experience you would normally (one huge aspect is not there).
How many mg were you on though, I am only on 10mg before bed. I just took my first one a few min. ago.
I was on 30 mg of prozac (which is way less potent than paxil), and 100 mg of zoloft (also way less potent than both). I also was on 20 mg of celexa for the last bit but i stopped cold turkey with that and only got mild withdrawals (short dizzy spells).
My doctor said that prozac was the strongest, then zoloft, then paxil. Depending on how I feel soon, I might agree, because I have taken both zoloft and prozac, not scripted, more so being a stupid kid, but they seemed pretty strong back then. Right now I cant give a exact on how I feel because I have been going through xanax withdraws a bit, so I was a bit out of it when I took it. Ill be getting some molly soon, so ill see how it effects me with it.
You don't think it could have any long term effect do you? I was prescribed a bunch of Paxil for a good two years. This was more than 8 years ago but I have problems with drugs. I can trip but it takes a lot and sometimes I just kind of ... don't. Also a batch of pot brownies have never done a thing for me. Not sure if that has anything to do with anything, just sorta weird. Any wisdom Writer?
Yea, SSRIs are the fuckin beast. You want a good Anti-depressant. aMT @ 5mg daily! Will turn anyone around. Just gotta keep it level. Don't jump into it on the weekends with a 20-40mg dose. But to answer you question. I was taking Lexapro 10mg to curb anger issues And noticed it fucked my DMT, 2c-X, and other Tryps/phens all to hell. could reach the levels I wanted to. Stop taking it, goto super pissed off for about two days, broke some dishes and windows....... then I got up after all that the following day and was like a new person! Smoked some DMT that night and had the most insane experience ever! If you can go without the Paxil do it! They are bad news
Yeah the only thing they did for me was a placebo effect. They work for some people though so its always worth a shot if you're desperate, but the more desperate you are the more likely you are to be tricked by placebo. @march of the meanies, pot isnt supposed to have any interactions with SSRI's though. they must have been bunk.
Though I'm sure some of the brownies in my life have been bunk but I've made many a batch, following instructions to the T, using more pot every time. Everyone is always high as shit. I guess its just how my metabolism metabolizes..metabolisms
God damn, I have experienced the lasting longer. My girl gave me head for an hour and did some crazy shit that would of made me get off instantly. Well this might be useful for atleast having sex I do seem to get drunker easier, I still haven't taken any psychedelics, maybe a few hits of cid soon, probably some molly later this week, so ill see how it effects those. I am having a few weird effects. It feels like there is a lump in the back of my throat, and a odd pressure in my head. Ill see if it lasts.
Heroin and paxil do not mix. I got high to a certain point, then didn't get any higher.. Then ODed. Becareful guys.
