I officially have no idea what to do with my life I am in college right now taking paramedics but its not working out so I need to find something else to take in school. As a child these were my past career choices -architect (dont have my math and not willing to upgrade) -radiologist -interior design -paramedic -culinary arts Now I dont see any of those being what I want to do with my life I currently became interested in an environmental science degree but I wouldn't know what to do with it. any help would be great
Dude, I've been where you are. You don't need to know what to do, you're still young. Heck, I still don't know what to do, and I'm 21. Just live life, have fun, do what you want, don't let people pressure you.
awesome, I'm glad it works for you. For the longest time I stressed and worried about WHAT i will do... then I realized just be happy and do what makes me happy... I mean, the point of life, the meaning of life is happiness is to be happy.
Yeah I definitely agree with IntellectualCurious. This is a time where you get to dabble in a bunch of things and see if you find anything you'd like to do. I'm 19 and I was really worried too. but now I have decided to take a variety of classes that will either meet general ed requirements or things that will just make me a better human being. For example I am not sure I will ever use art or math, but I am taking both because I think they will make me more "well rounded" and will just help me to grow as a person. Follow things you like. Try things you think you might like. Try things you don't like because maybe it will change your mind. You have time. Don't worry too much. Even if you don't figure it out immediately, relax.
sounds awesome. In the meantime, OP, try taking community college classes; get financial aid so it'll be free. I'm taking an online class and having a lot of fun, and it definitely gives me a sense of purpose. I also visit the local library almost daily, which is fun too because I'm constantly learning. For me that's pretty much my goal, to always learn and grow.
my best advice is to try job shadowing some different careers you have ideas about. that has really helped me choose some areas to go into and gave me a fresh perspective. i went through 6+ different majors before i job shadowed, but i think i should've done it the other way around taking a bunch of classes don't really give you a great idea about the actual day-to-day work you would be doing and what your true options are in the work force. good luck!
taking community classes is also a good idea if you take classes that have something to do with your interests. As your credits build up, you can later apply them to whatever you want.
I figured out what I am going to do, I am going to pursue tourism out in BC some where because out of everyone I have talked to they say it is the best thing for me. Just got to work a bunch right now so I can afford to move to BC
