How Can We Improve Young Hippies?

It has come to the Queens' (that is, both of us) attention that some of you have become unhappy about the state of our kingdom... please, do tell us what's wrong, and we shall do our best, along with our court, to improve it.

just from looking at the front page, no more threads that deal with:

rhyming
hey hey or yeh yeh
good nites
anything from frog_on_ice (sorry man....yeah)

im sure theres more...these threads wouldnt be so bad if there werent countless amounts of them, all at the same time...just a suggestion or 4

More various threads about things that matter.... in these last few weeks, there's only been three thread starters for threads like these (me, spooner, and derek...this is just my memory, i may be missing a few, sorry)... there is an oil crisis that will affect us all, folks... i think more people should start educating themselves on these various global crises(sp?), the draft, the war, globalization, the privatization of just about everything, censorship of the internet....etc etc. and then make threads about them, so we can have some *good* discussions and not have this be like elementary school.
*good* discussions arent simply limited to political and environmental and social problems, theres more, just use your brain and stuff...

 

oh hey...how bout little to no threads that have another poster's name as the title...thatd be nice.

i think that flippancy is good. there should be a serious area and a non-serious area, but that would be somewhat impossible.

Chucks suggestion for more seriousness would be a major turn off for some people
( take for example me), but sometimes things can get a little too silly( hard to imagine, but yes). A nice balance needs to be acheieved. young hippies should become a little luxembourg. it's too tough to keep everything organized.

 

I suggest people stop talking about how much it sucks... that doesn't help.

 

what about people posting for the sake of posting, just trying bloat their post count
