As the title says...I've looked it up already but none of the things I tried worked. I kind of bumped it when I was moving it the other day and it's stuck right in there. I've tried heating it up with hot water, I've tried cooling it down in cold water and I've even tried heating it over the flame on the gas stove (which seemed to dry out all the water in the joint) but it still won't budge. I'm probably gonna try some WD40 tonight, but if that doesn't do the trick then i don't know what to do other than the break out the downstem without damaging the joint (which is a last resort right now, as it was $60). Just looking for any suggestions you may be able to come up with, or if you have had first hand experience then even better.
gently but with something hard, tap around the joint repeatedly. This will probably do a lot more than trying to lubricate it....
Happened to me, DEFINITELY do not try to break the diffy without breaking the joint, that is how Nate broke my 9mm Illadelph as I got the diffuser stuck in there. Best thing to do is keep doing the alternating cold and heat/lube methods everyday, though in my case it was a small amount of resin acting like glue to stick the diffuser in there. I was slowly eating away at it using a butane torch and eventually they just come out at random with some pulling. Nate tried to pry the diffy out with his keys and broke the top of the bushing diffy off. What sucked is that after he broke the top of and then the bottom of the diffy off into the bong the actual glass on glass joint was still stuck in the bong's joint haha, which is what led Nate to try and cut it out using a glass cutter. Needless to say the glass cutter did not stop at the diffy and went right through the joint on my bong. You can still use a tube with a stuck diffy, you can also still clean it. Just let it do it's thing for awhile and keep trying, it'll come out sometime bro, no need to try it hastily and break your Roor or else you'll be in the same boat as me.
Yeah true there will be a couple spots you just won't be able to get at because of the diffuser, but it gets clean enough that you don't really notice much, and regardless slightly dirty glass is much preferred over broken glass.
I'll get a picture of my broken Illadelph next time I'm over at my friends house, luckily only the joint is broken so I can get it fixed Thinking of getting a fatass cobalt honalee joint to replace the obviously inferior plain illadelph one, hopefully it doesn't cost an arm and a leg though as I'm not trying to spend more on the joint repair than I paid for the 9mm bong in the first place
