heylo everyone, i was just wondering if anyone could help me. i've promised my other half i'd make him a pair of relatively flared and awesome trousers for a festival were going to in august... only problem is, i cant find a mens pattern in the style i want them to be in... does anyone know where i could find a pattern for some mens pretty baggy ever-so-slightly flared trousers? or does anyone know how to measure them out properly to make sure they fit if i have to draw it out myself. im still rather new to the whole sewing thing so any help and i'd be stupidly greatful,
    thanks muchly

you can use a pattern of straight pants and just make the legs wider. or use a female pattern and make the front and back (top) a little higher.

(my man also fits woman's flairs, he just needs to get the higher waist flairs)

Depends what kind of fabric you want to use...

For jeans buy or upcycle an old pair of baggy jeans
Depending on how flared you want them to be cut up the side of the pant leg where the thick hem is.
Remove the hem (cut on both sides of it) to the point where you want the flare to start
Find a funky fabric and sew it into the space you just made (the wider the fabric the wider the flare)
You can make it neat by making hems and such or you can roughly sew it in, the jeans will fray giving if a worn look. (If you want the worn look make sure you zig zag or double stitch the fabric in so it doesnt fall apart when the jeans fray)

Then just add any other details youd like to it.

Hope that helps, pictures possibly after? :D
