Last month I started a new birth control (Leoestrin 24 FE) after being off the pill for about 4 months. I tried this because of the low estrogen levels. My b/f and I had unprotected sex the first week after I started taking the birth control. I've been bleeding every few days; sometimes heavy and sometimes light. Sometimes it is globby. I'm really sorry about the description. I'm just worried. My pelvic region and back have been randomly hurting. I've been having headaches almost daily. I'm trying to see a doctor. Hopefully next week I can get an appointment.

I'm not sure if i'm pregnant or my hormones are just out of whack. I think I may be or may have been pregnant. To those of you who were pregnant before, what were the signs? Did you bleed like this? I've been on many birth controls and nothing like this happened before. Usually I just lose my libido.

    Thank you in advance.

Birth Control pills by themselves won't harm a fetus that has already implanted in the uterus, but you should 1) go buy a pregnancy test kit & test yourself 2) STOP taking this particular formula of bcp. Schedule an appt with your GYN and tell them what has happened.

In the mean time, if you aren't pregnant, use rubbers till you get a new formula bcp.
