alright, well basically, i have a few very good friends of mine, who all want to live together but still go to college and pursue our careers. also, most of us are in a band together.

    ( if interested. myspace.com/musicaldirt )

we currently live in cumberland and woonsocket, RI.

we all really do not like it here too too much, and want to explore the United States. we've been looking more toward seattle, WA recently.

i was wondering if anyone could give us tips on what we really need to think about if we are going to make this work, also any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

we are all pursuing art/film/photography/fashion related careers, and we all would like to leave as soon as possible.

also, anyone know of a really nice place to live where the rent is very cheap? things like that would help. doesnt neccesarily have to be seattle either. we are openminded people.

Maybe you have a vague, hook-style title that made a lot of people click onto your post, but when they looked at the question they had no advice or answers to your questions. Don't expect everyone on a forum to do all the work for you ;)

I don't entirely understand the first question...what do you need to make it work? Do you mean moving to another state? Portland or Seattle are pretty liberal, Portland may be a little more hippie than the latter. Unless I'm mistaken it also has a pretty good art and music scene and most likely some good schools. Do some research, man, if there are schools that offer what you're looking for then move on over and start applying. Go on craigslist.com and look for apartments (that's usually the easiest way to find a place in my experience), find out what the average rent is. You'll probably get a lot more answers spending a couple of hours on google than you will waiting around on a forum!

Good luck dude, hope you find what you're looking for!
