I've got some advice for you. Advertise that you want experienced people, no drugs, etc. Then the dumn heads won't answer. Second, leave your options open enough as far as playing style so that you're not being too picky. Then you'll get more choices. There are a number of web sites that advertise free, check your local music stores for advertising opportunities. I don't recommend depending on demo's myself for auditioning with--it doesn't do justice. You can show alot more in a situation where you APPLY, rather than learn. That's where true musicianship is proven.

haha. Most of the druggy musicians I know would call you up just to spite you and tell you "Nah man, I'm totally straight", then they'd show up, rock the place, pull out some ganj. or some black tar at hit up right in front of you. Beautiful. This is rock 'n roll. I like druggies, actually. Straight people, especially in a band situation, totally annoy and bore me. You'd be suprised how many druggies can smoke on a guitar or burn the skins, they just don't show up 45% of the time. lol
