cops in my town are actually not that bad.. i live in Buffalo which is a TERRIBLY poor city (one of the poorest in the country) but i live in Keisertown which is a decent part of the city.. mostly middle age people, and a few college kids from UB and Buff State that can't afford rent at any of the fancy college apartment buildings.. but unless you are seen driving around the lower East part of the city, or any of the project housing areas on the West side of the city.. you dont have much to worry about. sad to say, but cops here rely almost totally on racial profiling.. theres a lot of gang activity and such garbage in Buffalo, so the cops really only hassle hispanic/blacks/etc.. if you are white and walking down the street (and not looking like a wigger), you really have NO problems.. obviously this creates a lot of tension between people of different ethnicities and the cops.. the only time you usually ever have a problem (if you are white) is if you are seen on the east side of the city.. which is known for drugs and violence.. they know a lot of white kids go over there to score their dope, so they pull over most younger looking people seen cruising through the area.. around here.. its not bad though. the cops are severely under-funded so there isnt a huge police presence.. and they dont really care about younger people walking around with a bag of grass in their pocket.. so long as you arent in a bad part of town.. the last place i lived was a small ass town, and yeah, it fucking sucked. the cops knew everybody and would do everything to fuck you over if at all possible..
Take it back to last year, some time in the fall I think. I was at a fucking rager, and it was about 4 in the morning or some shit. There was a random ass party bus outside this dude's house making a bunch of noise and littering and shit. So, the neighbors called the cops. I was out on the back porch when they came, and they shined the spotlight to the porch and yelled "Everybody go the fuck home!". So being in a drunk haze, I shouted out "Alright officer, I got you maaan!". The house is on a corner, so the back porch faces one street and the front porch faces another. So we left out the front, and lo and behold, the cops are right there. They go, "You, come here!" Of course I complied, its the fucking cops. So we get there, and they are like "How much you been drinking?" And I was completely honest and said a lot. They asked the same question to my friend who was tanked and he said the stupidest thing you can say, "Just one." They are then like "Yeah? Come here little man, I'll give you a breathalyzer then. You smell like pot too, how much you smoke?" I had to jut in here and tell my friend "Dude, just tell him the truth and shut the fuck up." So he finally listens to me, even though he told him we smoked all of our bud, we had a good blunt left of Jack Hair. Then I do the only rational thing to do, and start picking up all the trash in other people's yards, on the street, the sidewalk, etc. From the cop car I hear "You missed some over there fat boy!" Whatever, its the cops, atleast I'm not getting arrested. Then after I finish, I go back up to the cop car, and the cop is like "What's the owner of the house named?" Everyone knew his name is Tristan, but my boy goes "Dennis". The cop tells us to go get "Dennis", and we get him and the cop goes "You Dennis?" and it was almost like we psychopathically told him the plan because he just looks at him with the most epic look and goes "Yeaah man." Then the cops basically told him to kick everyone out, party is over. No one got arrested, and everyone was fucking hammered. It was great.
so this thread has a lot of great stories. I think is deserves a bump. and I have a couple stories myself but am to lazy to wright one atm
Good stories. I've got one ticket before. Thankfully that's the only trouble I have gotten in with cops.
just a few weeks ago i'm riding my bike home from work on a friday night, in the street, as usual. i get honked at and can hear someone yelling at me to get on the sidewalk (the law is to ride in the street btw). i flipped him off. he cut me off with his car almost hitting me, to which i screamed "jesus! you are going to fucking hit me?!" and stomped on the hood of his car. he parked his car in the middle of a busy street at a red light, got out and tackled me off my bike. he pretty much beat my ass and ran back to his car before the light turned green. there were three witnessed, one of which called the cops. i should have just fuckin' left. an ambulance can and i signed off on that since i didn't really need to go to the hospital. then a firetruck came. everyone encouraged me to file a report with the police. we had the license plate number and make of the car. when the cops got there, they asked me what happened, i told them and gave them the piece of paper with the plate number on it that a witness had given me (the number was confirmed by three different people). they got in the car for about five minutes and basically told me they weren't gonna do anything about it. i said thanks a lot, they said yup, and then i made the mistake of saying "you guys are fucking worthless, you know it?" in a calm voice, not threatening in any way, but still. they turned around and cuffed me, tearing me off my bike. they were threatening to take me to jail for the weekend. then he asked what i had in my book bag. i told him there happened to be a steak knife in there, which i used to cut cheese with that day at a work party. then he asked to take a look. i told him no and then he got even more pissed. ended up with a ticket for disorderly conduct which is only a violation (pretty much like a traffic ticket). it's a fucking pain in the ass though. i had my second court appearance today, but since it's such a big city, shit takes forever. i have a BENCH TRIAL next week, at which i have chosen to represent myself. i think (hope) the worst that can happen is a fine. which is shitty enough. where's the justice?!
I don't partake in Cannabis anymore, but I am glad I don't, since I moved to Newark DE, I have never seen so many cops per person before. It is ridiculous. It can't be necessary. Sometimes I feel nervous with my window blinds open in my apartment (I'm on ground level), and snorting lines of Adderall, even though it is prescribed to me and legal, since I think a cop would see me haha.
i live in a small rural town. we've got 3 town cops, which are all older and are pretty cool. the younger cops that we borrow from the next town over are pompous assholes who like to abuse their authourity. one night my boyfriend and i took a couple hits of acid and walked around town for 5 hours. we finally ended up under a couple of pine trees in a baseball field in the middle of town. we were talking and watching the branches move when we got spotlighted from the street. we sat up and a cop drove through the field up to us. the first words out of his mouth were "did you guys see the bear that just ran through here?" apparently a huge bear had run through the field 20 minutes before we got there. he asked us if we'd been drinking, motioning to the bottles of tea we had, and we of course said no. we got up to go back to my boyfriends house and the cop drove off without further questions. thank god it was one of the older cops because if it had been one young cop in particular things could have gotten ugly fast.
The big thing in Atlanta right now is this company they've got to do the parking meters. I had to park in front of a customer's shop because I was delivering some very heavy computer boxes and there was no where else to park for several blocks. I put as much change as I had in the meter, but it ran out before I was done with their computer and it's not like you can leave in the middle of the work. So I get a huge parking ticket for being 5 minutes over on my meter. This company is so hated that even the city of Atlanta is getting p.o.'ed at them.
I live in the south - and used to live on the other side of the state. Totally don't even visit this place anymore (that I used to live in for 13 yrs)...anyway, the town is soooo crooked, it's unreal. Many people that go to the county jail do NOT make it out alive....seriously. People have tried to fight this; but, I can assure you NOBODY that has ever said anything against them (the law, period) wants to go to that jail for just even a minute. Don't ever think the good ole boy system is not alive and well in SC!
Ok Time to tell 1 of my cop stories. i will probaly add more later but I think you guys will find this one interesting. So I am driving with my brother and we wanna get some weed. So I call up my friend to buy a 10 sack. Well my brother ends up deciding against buying a 10 sack. So anyway were driving around through this one neighbor hood. and car starts following us. we take a u-turn at this dead end and then keep driving and then we see lights turn on behind us and it's a undercover cop. so we pull over. my brother has his pipe resting on the dashboard so he grabs it and puts it into his pocket. The cop walks up to my brother the driver and asks him why he is nervous and asks a few questions. Another cop walks up to my side and asks me a few questions. They tell us both to get out of the car. Once we get out the cop tells my brother if we have any weed on us to tell him right now. He says all we will get is a 100$ fine and we are good. We tell him no. Then 1 cop asks to search the car and my brother says sure. The other cop asks us all these questions. He makes us give our eye color, hair color, race, weight, height, age, and he then calls in to confirm our names and age to the police department. After searching the car the other cops comes over and has a empty small baggie in his hand. He says because he found this he can search my brother and his pockets. My brother says he was nervous when the cop first pulled up because of his tobacco pipe he has in his pocket. The cop says which pocket. my brother says his right. the cop slips his hand in my brother's pocket and as he's pull it out it slips from his hand and cracks onto the ground. he says oops sorry. and asks my brother how much it cost. my brother says 10 bucks. the cop opens his wallet and hands my brother 10 bucks. I was thinking like wtf the cop is actually paying for the piece he broke. He told us the original reason he pulled us over is because my brother had no front license plate. He said he is not going to give a fine for that but that my brother needs to get it fixed soon. He also said my brother has his windows super tinted and that is sketchy looking. The cops then let us go. Also to let you know these cops were gang patrol officers. They had different uniforms. I live in southern california so lots of areas around here have gang task force teams. story 2: So my mom told me this story. So my mom and sister were driving my brother's car. As they were driving a cop pull them over. When he walks up he tell my mom he pulled them over because their music was too loud. My mom did not even have music or any type of sound on. She tells him I did not have any music on. He then adds that the windows are very tinted and that the car looks sketchy. He then asks my mom all these questions and says I know where you live lady in a rude manner. My mom let's him know that this is her son's car. He then asks why is she driving her son's car. she says because she is the one that bought it and the current available car. he then walks back to his cop car and drives off. So anyway when my mom talks to my brother she finds out that like a couple months ago he got fined for loud music in his car. So I am guessing that the cop was behind the car and ran the license plates through the computer system and saw that my brother had that music charge so he decided to pull the car over thinking it was my brother and hoping to bust him on something. Then once he saw my mom driving that screwed up his plans. The thing that is odd is why he was rude to my mom for no reason. My Mom is one of the nicest ladies ever. My mom has no criminal record has never smoked pot once in her life and does not even drink ever. She is a good christian and does her best to help people out. So that cop is a complete asshole.
