How about Sonic Youth. I cant even remember one of their songs but the name sounds dead on. They Might Be Giants is a fun band too.

reggae? You should check out high tide, they are my old roommates. A million miles away, irie melody, and tide don't stop all good songs. Rebelution is another good band. What I know is my favorite song by them. Both these bands have many quality songs, I even got to do backup vocals on one high tide song, just repeating the same word but It was cool.
