That first one is something for meditation.

simply love that first picture, so different, and the contrast against a dark sky, just beautiful.
can i ask, did you take it deliberately, or was it a lucky shot?
the reason i ask, is that sometimes i try to take an 'arty shot' and it just doesn't happen, but something i just point and shoot at, comes good.
i hope you don't mind me asking. :)

It was planned... an experiment with two shots... one focused on the foliage and one on the moon. The moon focus was unremarkable but I liked that result.

    Thanks! :)

that was a quick answer, thank you. :)

am only just starting out with a digital camera, after using film for years, so have a lot to learn.
will be visiting here quite a bit i think to look and learn. :)

A digital camera is ideal to experiment with... mistakes can be deleted.

To be clear--- we were assuming that it was Venus as it was by far the brightest object in the sky. Thanks! :)
