Here's an article from the Dutch gov't about how social networking sites are the favorites of spy agencies and other malevolent individuals and organizations... It also warns against accepting any free USB sticks that might be offered to you... http://www.expatica.com/nl/news/new...d-by-foreign-intelligence-services_15564.html This backs up my claim that the recent hack we had on this site might've come from some gov't agency, friendly or not.
haha, I really doubt the government cares much about a forum full of mostly old hippies and stoners... no offense but I think they have other things to worry about. Maybe they MIGHT use this site to find people buying/selling drugs, but I doubt this site is full of a bunch of undercovers. Too much money spent. And if you're not some bigtime war protester, PETA member, Greenpeace or Alf member, I don't think they really care if you post pictures of yourself getting drunk on Facebook... there are far too many profiles out there, I don't think they're gonna waste their time watching every single stoner out there...
The gov't cares about hippies and stoners in case you didn't know. The gov't has been marginalizing and imprisoning hippies and stoners since the 60s, keeping tabs on them and spying on them whenever they feel like it. Do you realize last year alone, 800,000+ Americans were busted for pot? So don't say they don't care about stoners, because they care enough to want to put everyone of us in prison. Get your facts straight! The War on Drugs is a War on Americans. We are fighting our own gov't to get cannabis legalized and to free the Drug war prisoners. If you're not on this page with us, why are you on this site? With millions of cannabis users imprisoned, why do you think this is funny? Only cause your time hasn't come yet...
I stopped smoking about a year ago when I grew up and decided to focus on my career. I'm all for legalization but I don't think its should be top priority, nor do I think there's a huge conspiracy other than people who are technically breaking the law. Oh noes, the government is enforcing the law! Yeah, I also think I should be able to walk around topless but I don't do it because no matter my opinion on it, it WILL land me in jail. Common sense, I don't want a record.
I dont doubt for one minute that various departments of various governments will be monitoring sites like this for various reasons. What I do wonder about is that this infomation has apparently been highlighted by just one such department of one such government... I may well be paranoid, but I cant help wondering about hidden agendas on the part of the Dutch secret services...
no offense but you come off sounding pretty conceited here. I don't know why you view it as something you "grow" out of. One of my closest friends uses pot for aches and anxiety because he has found it better than anything else he has been prescribed. I know some who use it as their way to unwind after work, the way people will drink a couple beers. I know some who find it allows them to tap into different creative potential in regards to music, I know some who use it for pure recreation. all different ages and walks of life use it and people should not be imprisoned for simply altering their mind. That's great that it was just a phase for you, because I personally think pot does have some detrimental effects, especially when used for pure recreation, but I don't think users should be going to jail for it.
well this is nothing new to me. i have pandia.com as my homepage. pandia is an all-in-one-list of search engines and directories. one of pandia's resorces is soe black hat. black hat, is the top resorce on the web, dealing with hacking and other dirty tricks on the internet and web. the best people from all over the world, who work in this hacking and other dirty tricks, are on the black hat website. skip is quite correct, that governments are after stoners and other "non-conformists." we have people here, who are into all kinds shit. some of the younger members here, may not know, that some school districts here in the u.s.a. are tapping into their laptop computers and mobile phones, trying to get them pushing and/or using drugs. right now, the aclu (american civil liberties union) has taken a case about this issue in maryland to court. hell, a couple of years ago, one of the school districts, here in san antonio, texas wanted, to put gps chips into the students. a lot of parents like that ideal! the local aclu jump in on that right away! the school district backed down real quickly. yeah, corporations and government are out there scanning over web... so, play safe everyone.
