Peace and Love to you all; I am interested in conversing with those of us who were the youngest hippies back in the Time. I was only a little kid but in the sixties, but I knew who had it right back then and who had it all wrong ...and now. Are there any first-wave gen-xer's (born circa-1961 to ...?) who knew they were part of The Tribe but weren't old enough to be out amongst them? Would love to connect with peeps like me who came of age in the shadow of the hippie revolution. Any baby-flower kids from back in the day out there still holdin'/keepin' the flame lit in their hearts and minds? Talk to me, baby...! Still Keepin' The Faith... Cal Guurrl
My mother was born in '59 and used to be a free spirit. She doesn't believe in freedom anymore. She's a slave to anger and cynicism and the restraints of others' judgments. She also refuses to believe hippies even exist anymore. It's a shame, isn't it? I consider her a closeted flower-child.
