After reading affects of cooking weed, i thought id try it since i have some REALLY potent cali bud. I finely broke up a gram, put Natural Smuckers PB on each Saltine cracker, stuck it in the microwave for 10 seconds to warm up. After pre-heating my oven to approx. 320 degrees and wrapping the firecrackers in tin foil, Im now waiting for them to cook. I know i should have used "Nutella" because of the fat, but i hope this will work. Any advice/experiences? Ive never eaten weed and have a high tolerance to smoking, so i hope i get nice and baked. What do you think?
you will get pretty stoned.. especially if you used some headies.. when i get crazy tolerance from smoking, i like to make a couple firecrackers (though i usually use 2 grams).. it gets me pretty stoned.. a nice body high, with a slightly more "trippy" feel than smoking.. if you've never eaten weed before, you'll love the change.. it is quite a bit different when you eat it.. you'll be surprised at how long you stay baked too. have fun man
Im not a big fan of firecrackers, if im going to make edibles, ill just make butter, then make fruity pebble rice crispy tasty treats Personally, I think cooking with green is wasteful. I vaporize my herbs, then cook with them, and use my stems to make oil..... Its a wonderful cycle
the thing is ; firecrackers taste like SHIT.. especially when overcooked.. but much easier than making butter, and still effective..
To my suprise, they were so bad i puked up one of the firecrackers. I didnt end up feeling anything, total waste of my ganj, oh well.
lol, firecrackers are a waste of weed i don't care how many of you have gotten "RIPPED" off these stupid things...........i've used plenty good bud and hash to try them and they didn't work.............make cannabutter, it actually works.
i've gotten stoned off them man.. ive never eaten only 1 gram though.. thats not much at all when you're going to be eating it.. i rarely make them, but if i do, i try to use 1/8th of dank.. if not then at the very least, 2 grams or better.. 320 degrees is also kind of a low temp for peanut butter crackers, imo. i've always made them at 350. it is basically the same concept as cannabutter.. you are just cooking your bud into a fatty substance... granted butter may have more fat and is obviously more effective. but you out of all people, definitely know your shit so i'm not gonna waste my time explaining it.. i was just kinda surprised you've never gotten even a buzz off them.. dont get me wrong im totally not saying i'd prefer them over cannabutter, or that they are stronger than cannabutter.. absolutely not. but if i'm just trying to get myself stoned by eating some cannabis, going through the process of making butter, then using the butter in a recipe (and trying to tailor that recipe for only a single person/single serving of cannabis, and proportionate ingredients) is kinda long and a pain, imo. the only good thing about firecrackers, is they are quick and easy to make and they DO get me high (if done right). but i cant believe you puked man, lol. they dont taste THAT bad in my opinion.. not nearly bad enough to make me throw up.. that sucks though. at least you only wasted a gram of weed on it
yeah i know, they just don't work for me, so i always tell people to steer clear. plus making cannabutter isn't all that time consuming..........plus then you can store your butter and if your feeling lazy, rather than making brownies or the like, just pull the cannabutter out of the fridge and spread it on toast. i like the slow cooker/crock pot way of making cannabutter.........much better results imho. but yeah im not here to argue if they do or don't work, probably work for some people with lower tolerances, they just don't work for me......if im going to eat it i have to make cannabutter or canna cooking oil....the butter preferably.
yeah man, i definitely hear where you coming from.. i wasnt trying to start an argument or nothing, i was just saying they do work for me if i use enough good bud.. i was just surprised that you've never gotten baked off them (or even caught a buzz), ive read about a lot of people trying them (and a few people i know have tried them).. and some people say they suck, some people say they love them, but i've never heard somebody say they didnt get stoned at all from them... especially if they were made right (like i said, i have no doubts you made yours correctly though- i know that you know your shit) but like i said, i agree cannabutter has totally got them beat in virtually every way.. its just the easy preparation of peanut butter/weed crackers is basically the only thing that makes them somewhat appealing to a lazy stoner like myself.. but yeah, i definitely prefer my baked goods to be made with cannabutter too.. thats all im saying
right on man, i hear what your saying aswell. But 2-3.5 g's of bud for a cracker or two just doesn't make sense to me........... but then again i use 2-4 oz. of sugar trim and popcorn bud to 2-4 sticks of butter.....usually toss in 1-2 g's of hash for good measure. this will in turn make 1-3 batches of KILLER brownies........1/2 brownie for light smokers, 1 brownie for regular smokers, 2 brownies for people with high tolerances.............i usually eat 2 but can eat 1/2 of one and feel the effects unlike with 1-2 firecrackers. But seriously, when i eat two of my brownies im flying for HOURS upon HOURS!!! definitely don't recommend 2 for light or average smokers...........you'll green out and freak out.....not fun.....i had 3 one time......never again.
haha! i believe it man.. if i were to ever eat some baked goods that you made... i would definitely proceed with caution, to avoid getting super baked and making an ass out of myself and/or passing the fuck out a few ounces, AND a couple g's of hash.. sounds amazing what would you say the minimum amount of dank bud needed to make cannabutter is? and how much butter would you use for however much bud that would be? the only reason ive made peanut butter ganja crackers is because all the recipes i've seen for cannabutter require about an ounce or more of some dank bud.. and i just cant afford that... and i absolutely do not touch schwag, for smoking or cooking, so no fucking way i would EVER try to use that garbage.. is it possible to use like a quarter oz or so to make butter? and if it is, im assuming you would have to tailor the recipe for such a small amount of buds.. because lets say (hypothetically) you were to make butter with a quarter oz, and then use it for brownies.. you wouldnt want to make an average size tray of brownies, because you would have to eat like 1/3 or more of the whole tray of brownies to get stoned.. as opposed to a single brownie or two.. correct? im pretty inexperienced with ganja butter, but only because i cant afford to be making it all the time with the amount of weed all the recipes require... if there is a way to make it with a cost-effective amount of dank, please fill me in!
well i wouldn't use any less then 1oz per 1 stick............you could cut that in half to 1/2oz per 1/2 stick, or even 1/4oz per 1/4 stick........but saying that, it's going to be a big PITA to make with that minimal amount.......especially the way i make it in the crock pot........it's kinda just not worth it unless you can use atleast an oz. and i just really don't think 1/4oz to 1/2-1 stick is going to be strong enough, infact i know it won't.........and you need atleast 1/2-2/3 cup butter (1-1 1/4 stick/s) melted down to make your brownies depending on what the recipe calls for...........i just use boxed brownie mixes and they generally call for veggie oil but you can substitute with butter at the same exact amounts....ex. if it calls for 1/2 cup veggie oil, susbstitute with 1/2 cup melted butter.... i do have a good recipe for making cannabutter in a crock pot if you want it, not my recipe, just one i have found and use everytime now. :sifone: - 42o -
