I Will Remember You Sarah McLachlan I will remember you Will you remember me? Don't let your life pass you by Weep not for the memories Remember the good times that we had? I let them slip away from us when things got bad How clearly I first saw you smilin' in the sun Wanna feel your warmth upon me, I wanna be the one I will remember you Will you remember me? Don't let your life pass you by Weep not for the memories I'm so tired but I can't sleep Standin' on the edge of something much too deep It's funny how we feel so much but we cannot say a word We are screaming inside, but we can't be heard But I will remember you Will you remember me? Don't let your life pass you by Weep not for the memories I'm so afraid to love you, but more afraid to loose Clinging to a past that doesn't let me choose Once there was a darkness, deep and endless night You gave me everything you had, oh you gave me light And I will remember you Will you remember me? Don't let your life pass you by Weep not for the memories And I will remember you Will you remember me? Don't let your life pass you by Weep not for the memories Weep not for the memories
its a track by philip glass. once had it, but lost it, must get it again but can't find it anywhere. dunno the title, but it was one of his few soley piano tracks. Failing that Delibes 'flower duet' from the opera 'lakme'. loverly.
disco inferno, as my coffin slowly moves into the crematorium. but failing that i dont really mind.. my funeral would be, not about me, but about the people present pretending its about me.. so i'll let them choose the song they think most fitting..
Its the end of the world as we know it! that'd go down well.... Or perhaps National Express by the Divine Comedy, thats quite cheerful, no wait, even better, the Laughing Policeman!
The Galaxy Song Monty Python Just remember that you're standing on a planet that's evolving And revolving at nine hundred miles an hour, That's orbiting at nineteen miles a second, so it's reckoned, A sun that is the source of all our power. The sun and you and me and all the stars that we can see Are moving at a million miles a day In an outer spiral arm, at forty thousand miles an hour, Of the galaxy we call the 'Milky Way'. Our galaxy itself contains a hundred billion stars. It's a hundred thousand light years side to side. It bulges in the middle, sixteen thousand light years thick, But out by us, it's just three thousand light years wide. We're thirty thousand light years from galactic central point. We go 'round every two hundred million years, And our galaxy is only one of millions of billions In this amazing and expanding universe. The universe itself keeps on expanding and expanding In all of the directions it can whizz As fast as it can go, at the speed of light, you know, Twelve million miles a minute, and that's the fastest speed there is. So remember, when you're feeling very small and insecure, How amazingly unlikely is your birth, And pray that there's intelligent life somewhere up in space, 'Cause there's bugger all down here on Earth. Sung by Eric Idle in "The Meaning of Life"
I don't care what is played, as long as it is upbeat, carefree, and not mournful. Anyone who knows me well, knows that I don't think of death as an end, or a need to be sad. So I want my funeral to reflect that. Holly
hey blackguard, if you're as sad as me you probably wrote that up yourself... or you may have just decided to find it on the net and paste it...
I can't believe no-one's mentioned The Doors yet (The End obviously) I'd be happy with some really cheesy piano tunes just to stop people from feeling upset, y'know, make them cringe instead! Imagine was played at my step-dad's funeral and the cd kept skipping all the way through! Did make us laugh tho'......
"Break on through to the Otherside" or maybe "That Smell" by Skynard, depending on how long it takes them to find me. I want people to laugh at my funeral, I want people to remember me with a smile on their faces.
