I just bought a diamond in a local jewelry shop a week ago. It is a 2-Carat excellent cut round shape diamond which is roughly half of my savings. The lady in the shop ask me who the lucky lady is and do I have a ring. I told her I haven't found the girl yet, just consider it an investment right now. She's very surprised and told me this stone should belong to a beloved lady not my safer.

I have been staring at it many times since I bought it. I've been looking for the right girl for myself for years now, and nearly desperate. And now I am one of those creepy guys who have a stone but no wify.

well, i don't think is an entirely bad idea to have the ring before the girl, is not the usual way people do it but.. its ok.
If you get desperate things will no rush... finding the right person is not an easy job and sometimes it takes longer than we think it should.
Just be patient... is your only choice.

that signature pic is kinda crazy lol.

Well, just because you have a big piece of diamond doesn't mean you're automatically creepy. Just consider it an investment like you yourself said.

I tried already. No luck yet, as soon as they found out that I was not that interested in them, they moved on to the next gentleman.
Now, I don't even know what I am looking for anymore, :(

Well, if you're not even sure then why not take a break from looking? Besides, interesting people have a way of appearing in front of you when you least expect them. In the meantime, enjoy life. :)

no you're not nuts. the right woman will make herself known to you in good time. in my experience, its when you stop looking for someone, thats when they arrive. so just put the ring somewhere safe for now and stop trying so hard. forget all about it. thats when you will find your true love. wow, that sounds kinda sappy huh. well all sappiness aside, try it. you never know who will find you. good luck =)

whatever you do if you're interested in a girl make DAMN SURE that she doesn't happen upon the ring some way. she'll either think you're a weirdo and take off in the middle of the night or she'll assume it's hers and get really clingy and sappy and ruin things between y'all.

Diamond? do you know what is going on in Africa? most diamond's are covered in blood, I would never buy them.

What if you find a girl you want to marry, but her taste in jewellery is completely different to the ring you have bought?

I think everybody misunderstood me. I bought a loose diamond, I haven't gotten a ring set yet. I just went to a jewelry store, they gave appraisal price even high than I paid. I got a good deal, 2-carat D color IF. came with a certificates, so I guess it is not a blood diamond.

And, I will not show my lady the stone before I propose to her.

But it is more like an investment now, sell it now, get my 35k back.
