    Hi hippies :)

I have these really bad tension headaches that last for weeks at a time. I can't stand bright light, and I just want to curl up and go to sleep, but I can't. The doctor has done every test under the sun, but can't find anything wrong. Except that I have stage 3 depression.
Does anyone here know a good way to get rid of them? OTC pain medicine isn't helping much.
    Thankies!

    what do you eat?

read The Crazy Makers: How the Food Industry Is Destroying Our Brains and Harming Our Children and see if it rings any bells for you.

my mom gets cluster headaches (they run in the family, my grandpa got them too). they're the worst kind of headache that a person can get, apparently. anyways, for her, if she eats chocolate, she's guarantee'd to spend the next few days in bed in the dark.

ps, the book i'm recommending doesnt say anything about chocolate and headaches, i just wanted to add that in. especially because you have depression, i'd really recc reading the book. i think it covers a lot of information that's suppressed by mainstream medicine.

I used to find taking naps helped wit hhead aches. Water also helps it it's the result of toxic build up or stress. My advice is a liter of water and a nap with all electronic devices in the rom (or house turned off. Then get a masssage from someone who halfway knows what they are doing, or at a minimum knows how to give you a nice massage. Finaly Stretching ussult helps. Stretch out your neck and shoulders. That's about all I can offer. Maybe a hug?

Try some meditation to relax. Sometimes its just stress. If you can't get any thing else to work look into some accupressure or accupuncture, maybe your chi is partially blocked.

    OK try this:

Sit down (comfortably) and be aware of the energy and fluid and blood in your body and well as your organs. Try to even out your posture so that all your organs have as much room as they need.

Just sit for a bit and be aware of how it feels to be in your body, readjust how you are sitting so that it's as comfortable as you can get it but remember that to an extent you will never be completely comfortable.

You should after not very long start to feel lots of knots and bits where the energy isn't going where it should. Just let these exist, the worst resistance should probably be where your symptons are coming from.

Just be aware of this area and relax it as much as possible.

Maintain this for as long as you feel like. Then get up (steadily) and start doing some exercise. Run around the block three or four times, make sure your breath gets going. When you are doing this remain aware of the resistance in your body, don't let it hinder you and work through it. Be especially aware of the resistance in the area where your symptons are coming from.

When you feel sufficiantly exercised, go home and relax, just chill. Take a nap and afterwards get up and do something you love. Play some music, do some writing, meditate. Whatever you want.

For the next while (or if your like me, do this anyway) try to maintain some awareness of whats going on in your body, do spot checks throughout the day and soon your bodies energies should start harmonising.

The symptons should start easing pretty soon. If they don't then it might need that extra bit of push and you should try to unknot it directly.

    Blessings
