ha wow.. yous dont eat bacon??? we do over here like all the time.. fried or grilled mmm im not healthy i dont care.. it tastes way too good!!! :drool5:
I don't eat bacon anymore, but when I did I sometimes baked it and it can totally be done. I also spent most of my childhood participating in Lent and we always gave up meat. It was my favorite time of the year since I hated having to eat meat.
Yeah. It's easier if you're trying to cook up a lot of bacon. You don't have to thanks me, but I ask that one day you cook up a lot of bacon in my honor.
I always thought frying was the healthiest way to cook it...it seems to leave most of the fat in the pan. I dont eat it much anymore
well, you're just a good little hippy. to be honest I feel like shoving a few burgers down your throat
There, now I'm satisfied. Or at least I will be... midnight Saturday. Well, I don't think God requires it... I haven't done it in years, and somehow, this year, it just felt right. It was my choice. If God likes it, well that's fine. He'll have to deal with the fact that I'm not just doing it for Him this year. It's completely my choice and my direction, and that's probably why it's been the most successful lent I've ever participated in. I also don't believe you HAVE to go to church. Sometimes I go for personal enrichment. It's just easier to focus, and I like the old hymns... Also, it's good to socialize with those who hold the same beliefs as me and won't judge me for them. It's the same reason there's a safe haven for the Christians and the Vegans on here (separately, of course). So they have somewhere to go and not be hassled by people who can't leave others beliefs alone. I don't mean to seem argumentative, because I know what you say is true for some people. Maybe I'm just very atypical?
yeah, you made it clear in your previous posts that you had your own reasons for participating. i was just referring to the majority in mine.
1. you can bake bacon 2. to make it healthier, you must do it on a rack (keep it up out of the fat 3. the cost of this is that the bacon does not fry in it's own fat, and in effect you lose some of the flavor, that said, a surprising number of american's don't know what good bacon tastes like, so this may not matter to you.
