I didnt know exactly where to put this, So sorry if its in the wrong spot. So yesterday i was caught at school selling methadone, Another student got caught and snitched me out. They found 6 other pills on my along with money. I wouldnt tell them how i got them so they charged me with withholding information from a police officer and distribution on school grounds. The police officer wrote me a citation and told me that someone ( i dont remember exactly who he said ) has to decide wether i will have to go to court and get prosecuted... Soo if they decide to send me to court what do you think will happen ? Im 16 and have nothing on my record, I also live in Oklahoma.
Not to much, a slap on the wrist. Expelled from school and probation most likely. Also this really is not the spot for legal advise. Take everything you hear with a grain of salt until you get a lawyer.
I;'m not sure if its different because you were in school but you can't withhold information from an officer because one of the amendments gives you the right not to incriminate yourself. Good thing u didn't say anything as that definately helps you a lot. I'm not a lawyer and don't have much experience with school, but maybe you could play it off like you never knew the kid did drugs or something like that....like theres no connection to it back to you other than this kid's word
I'm pretty sure they'd make you go to court because of that. If it's your first offense, they probably won't do much.
If a cop asks you for your source just say "If I rat him out he'll kill me." If you're afraid for your life they can't charge you.
