nice, there aren't very many big hills around here... just small rolling hills everywhere! every summer i bike up mt.washington... its like 8 miles with and average 12% grade and higher at some points. they close it to traffic and only allow cyclists, its sweeeet. actually, just the last two summers, but im making it a tradition.
I bike constantly, even when I don't want to. This weekend will be the last but for the past near 3 months I've had to bike a 15 mile round trip to downtown and back for these drug classes. Once I get to the city borders(like literally at the city line it's odd) it's generally flat, but before that there's just the average hill, probably nothing beyond 6-7% and that's just at an oddly short, steep hill.
I have just started going to the gym, and I love working out high, I feel so much stronger and have to much engery, I push myself to do little bit more
yeah man i went last night and enjoyed it. : ) but usually ill just work out and then get super blazed afterward haha
This^^ I tend to just get into the zone and grind. Working past the burn is much better when high. However, I agree with Eric, lifting is not a good idea. I'm talking tredmill or bike or something along those lines.
I like to go lift a little buzzed as it burns away the tired feeling I get after being really high, but I don't like to smoke and then work out. Also, I do tend to agree that lifting heavy weight is not the best idea when you're high.
I just do alot of summer activities, and in the winter I sit on my ass. I have never really gone to the gym, and they have one at my work that I can use for free if I got a physical. But I don't have time for that, I really wanted to take a yoga class here though. Maybe someday. But all activities in the summer are done baked.
if your doing a hard workout it feels real good on the muscles if you get high after your done working out. In my opinion anyways
im the same way come winter time.. though i think im gonna get some snow shoes for next year.. or maybe finally learn how to board
Learn how to board man!! It's so exhilarating, and a great work out. Stop on the side of the mountain and smoke down and enjoy the view. I love it. Luckily I don't get fat, cause I literally don't do shit in the winter now.
I lift some weighs, and do the uliptical I always feel like I am pushing myself to do more, and I can have the engery
Does anyone find drinking a lot of caffeine when doing something endurance related such as riding a bike it winds up making you get tired even quicker?
that's why i don't do the energy drink/workout thing.. unless its like Powerade Zero... never tried that 5 hour energy drink shit either.. though my boss swears by it
my only problem with learning to board is having a bum shoulder... blew out my rotator cuff back in high school.. never had surgery on it.. has been troublesome ever since.. and then i really fucked it up again last year when i had a slip and fall at work... but it's slowly getting stronger.. so we'll see how confident i am with it come next winter
5 hour energy is odd, it doesn't give you that jittery, want to do things and move around, caffeine like energy, but it does make you feel more awake in your head. Though if I'm using either I'm going for a regular caffeine loaded drink
