I always like it when I see something Hippie on TV because it doesn't happen that often that I know of. I don't watch that much TV so maybe that's why it's like that (for me anyways). I'll always remember what happens on these episodes because i'm so tuned in and interested in them. But today I saw a Simpsons' episode (love the Simpsons) and it was a Hippy one. It was pretty cool, it showed Homers relationship with his mom and it turns out she was major Hippie in the 60's and was an activist. A lot of other Hippie stuff happens but I won't spoil it in case you want to catch it!

Other one's i've seen are King of the Hill, Family Guy, and this show with Robert from Everybody Loves Raymond where is daughter and son in law are pretty hippie-ish.

Anyone else have any other like things? I'd like to check them out!

There's another Simpsons episode where Homer gets medicinal marijuana... I don't remember what else happens but I think a Phish concert is involved.

haha I saw bits and pieces of that one... I know Phish is in it too. I remember Phish saying something like "we only support medical marijuana users" lol

Star Trek (old series) - Episode: The Way to Eden... however, this was merely Gene Roddenberry's late 1960s anti-hippie way of trying to portrait hippie views as something undesirable, since the leader of the merry band of pranksters proved to be insane, and the paradise (planet) they were looking for turned out to look like paradise, but rather harmed and killed them.

Wiggling bare toes in the 21st century, hoping for barefoot hippies to prevail until the 24th century, too,

    Some old series....

All in the Family with Mike and his hippie friends.

The Beverly Hillbillies where Jethro teaches hippies how to "smoke crawdads".

Dragnet where Joe Friday is constantly battling the evil hippie dope fiends.

And of course, Laugh-In was constantly doing hippie humor.

I love the young ones. It wasn't until I watched it that I realized that Primus Sampled both Vivian and Rick. BTW what about Hailey on American Dad. And I'm also thoroughly convinced that Spongebob Squarepants is a Hippy. Think about it. He is a free spirit comfortable with himself much to the chagrin of others. He takes time out to chase th butterflies (ie Jellyfish). And he bought a giant TV just so he could play in the box. His reason "We don't need tv, we have imagination."

    Peace Out,

I remember an episode of ALF where they discovered film footage of Willie and the wife at Woodstock. Turns out they were hippies at the time. Willie then started worrying that he had sold out until ALF pointed out that , as he had become a social worker, he had kept his values and not sold out after all.

One of my favorite episodes of Roseanne is when she finds an old box filled with her "hippy" shit from the sixties. In that episode they also find their old weed stash and smoke joints in the bathroom.
