I finally have an pot for my cacti. I am so excited I got 2 new cacti to add to my collection. Only one of them is psychedelic my san pedro. That one wasnt growing bigger bc my pot was too small and the roots didnt have much space. But now all my cacti can get bigger. Tomorrow I will take pictures. I love my cacti. lol.

I've already sampled a couple specimens on a couple of occasions, for SP they are actually fairly potent

I went san pedro hunting in the mountains...

    never found one. :(
and I coulda sworn they grow up there.

but every cactus that looks like a san pedro turns out to have a bunch of spines when I get closer.

Once I found a small peyote lost between a lot of lithops. The nurseryman thought it was a lithop and sold me for 1,50€. Peyote is easy to recognize, but San Pedro isn't. I'd really love to find one!

San Pedro cactus only naturally grows in South America, specifically in Peru or the surrounding countries. It does grow in the mountains at about 2000-3000m elevation.

I have some growing at my school in 2 location :D One spot was a 'gift' from the botany (or something) class of 99 and they are HUGE. The other is this random spot i just found and they are a bit more manageable to sample and stuff as the tallest one is probably only 4 feet. ;)

I'm pretty sure that's not true because I know people who have found it in California and New Mexico.

Yeah tis desert, just no luck round these parts.
