Not sure if this is the best place to ask. Does anyone vend at festivals? If so does anyone vend food they grow on their own? My aspiration is to vend homegrown food from festival to festival, can you make good money vending food? Something or other.
You can definitely turn a good profit. I don't know if its anything to make a living off of but it can very easily support your festival hobbies and then some. The big vendors make huge money but what you're thinking of can still make a good profit after paying for your travel/tickets/etc. I actually plan on doing something similar to help offset the extremely high price of this festival season+ the cheese tour.
well seeing as most of festivals are in the summer. as the growing season. id imagin its hard to grow and vend ya know? id say, stick with burgers susage beer and pop, water, and jello shots. bowls and shirts. ill make the food. u sell the bowls and shirts. lets do it
Thanks for the support Andy pshh. Thankfully many vegetables have short growing seasons and can be harvested in late spring and early summer. Plus I start growing 4 crops of my choosing in the school's greenhouse in a couple weeks but I'm not sure how fresh those will be and for what festivals. But in the future if I have a greenhouse for myself sometime I can grow whenever I want.
At this monthly music/art festival I'm going to vend vegan food. Hopefully it works. But most people I see sell everything they've got by the end of the night.
