People are Animals

I woke up this morning to here about that huge baskeyball fight on the news. Has anyone heard of it? Well it made me sick that grown men could act like childeren and really hurt on another, and hurt the fans. I mean there were kids there, young kids who had to watch, and two of them were crying. If I was them (the people fighting) I'de feel ashamed. Stuff like this disgusts me and makes me realize people are animals and can't control themselves.

 

Over here people die because of the result of a game were 22 people kick a ball about..its is realy crazy .

 

here people get rich because they storm the court and get clocked.

 

People in general are pretty stupid.... At least until they prove themselves otherwise... A rare occurence to be sure...

Why does this thought seem to be an insult to animals to me?

actually i'd say we're good animals....with our intelligence we're on top of the food chain for, well pretty much anything else.

Think about the kids that play like highschool basketball and even little leage basketball. they see there favorite players fighting and all the sudden there like " hmm they did it why cant I" its the wrong message getting shown to kids.

I hope you don't mind my interjection but I had to comment.

I, too am disgusted with what I saw. Replay after replay. The fact is, fault lies with the players AND the unruly fans. The video showed the glass hit the player's face but he was lying down, he couldn't possibly have seen where it came from, so he stormed the stands, pummeled a fan, and actually trapped some poor woman underneath the men.

In short, we see so much violence because people (ah a whole) don't encourage loving and peaceful behavior. We see violent movies and video games (have you SEEN the Grand Theft Auto commercials?) and let our kids play them and still expect them not to pick up some violent behaviors? My daughter only watches certain VERY kids friendly shows, if anything, and when her daddy is watching his sports or wrestling or whatever, we go to another room and color or make some cookies or something.

The point is that people are exposing themselves and their children to sexual and violent situations and don't even bother trying to explain why or how these things should be interpreted. I speak from experience.

Sorry for the rant. I'm a mom, you know.

i just saw the clip of the fight for about the 5th time on the news .

its real shitty behavior and poor sportmenship but im not surprised at all
