I downloaded this bastard yesterday!

Got 4 virus alerts!! What's that all about?

Is there a better program available that I can download that will do the same job?

 

Yeah. Kazaa-Lite. I use it, and have no problems.

 

kazaa lite has recently been banned from people downloading it from severs or websites. It is the spyware-free version of kazaa. Basically Kazaa ( not lite ) installs 2nd party "software" that was "ment" for a backup service if ever the P2P networking failed, but in reality, this "software" is spyware and gives holds alot of information and dangerous hazards in posessing the program. I had Kazaa before, and downloaded a game. The matrix game (first one) to be exact. and wondered why it was downloading so quickly for a file that said it was the FULL game. anyways i opened it up to view only a bunch of scrambed numbers. After deleting that file, i soon encountered a very annoying person that liked to speak to me through strange black screen conversations, liked to move my mouse around and click what he wanted, like to delete my typings while i was typing it and put his very own obscene typings, liked to put pornagraphic images on my background ( btw this is my family computer), liked to start a keylog, which basically records down every letter i type on my keyboard (including passwords) and found it funny that it took a full reconstruction and expensive firewall hardware to get him out of my machine. I dont mean to hark on and on about this but Kazaa (not lite) is a very bad program to use. The Kazaa Lite software has been banded from people who do not already have the software and are looking for a free fileshareing program. So basically, because kazaa lite does not have a main server, but just people networking with thousands of other people, they cannot shut it down for those who already possess this program. nor can investigators find out the source of your fileshareing a get you in trouble. which is nice. But it really sucks for me, because recently i got an other virus on my computer and had to wipe my computer clean, along with Kazaa Lite. which really sucks, because i used the program ALL THE TIME! anyways ive been rambling. im sorry. bottom line. if you can get a friend or a person on the internet who already owns the kazaa lite program to send you the setup file, then you can most definatly use this program free of danger, but if not, that really sucks. haha. btw if anyone could send me a copy of their setup file for kazaa lite, please PM me. thanks..

oh yea! kazaa lite users. the program will allways ask you to update it to a newer version on kazaa lite. dont do it! click remind me later or something like that! updating it will update it to the pay program..which sucks. k later

 

Funny. I never got that memo. I have Kazaa-Lite on MY site. I don't give links to my downloads, you have to look for them on my forums.

awsome, thanks man. yea when i first downloaded kazaa lite, i downloaded it from a friends site. he was some type of software designer at a university so i trusted him ya know. he wrote a report on kazaa and over kazaa lite from the similarities and differences and also posted the information i stated above. and sure enough, its nearly impossible to find this program too often. but thanks for the link man

 

Bittorrent! No spyware and a small dl. I suggest suprnova.org for finding torrent files. Dont go to suprnova.com or suprnova.net they are just scammers!

 

What do you use to PLAY those files though? I never knew.

There's Shareaza and Kazaa Lite Ressurected. Kazaa Lite Ressurected is a continuation of Kazaa Lite (and it's free!)

 

I'd definitly suggest going with Ares. kazaa lite always gave me a bunch of faked music. ares is pretty reliable.

no ads or anything. it's really easy to use.
and doesn't eat up your computer like kazaa.

I actually started using livewire today. I've already downloaded like a gig or so of music, mostly Mouse on Mars, Reel Big Fish, and some porn. So far, I'm pretty impressed.

 

It's not armed robbery. It's an objective look at technology. anyay. I'd suggest get fug off kazaa and switch to something like winmx or Azureus or tornado. Personally, I dont' give a fug about movies or tunes. I wish more would torrent ebook(outside of technical manuals). Anyway, if you're seeking a share system rember that the key element is 'share'. People on winmx etc... get a little miffed if you just leech and dont' support the community. Happy hunting. In the vein of winmx, check out mxmoni just in case you've got a great library. If you dig ebooks about various (non-tech) subjects I'm welwitschia on alot of torrent sites and standardidiot on some winmx/opennap. Also sheez, consider a dual os at leat. Those bastards aren't playin'.
