England is cold, mine take hours then start to smell again. Kinda defeats the point of washing them. So how do you all dry your dreads?

    Thanks

    A blow drier.

Who air-dries dreads unless they live in a desert?

Let them dry on their own.

I shake em like a Polaroid picture. I squeeze the fatty's with a towel, then just let em dry by themselves.

I ring them out in the shower. THen I use a couple towels to try and sop up the rest over the course of an hour. The rest is just air dry. I've only used a hair dryer on them twice I think.

lol i guess i'm high maintenance. i ring them, wrap them in a towel, hand blow dry, then i have a table top hair dryer. i'm a bit paranoid about mold.

I only wash my hair when I have a good few hours to kill. I leave them in a towel for about 30 minutes then shake em out...then air dry. I dont like going places with wet hair cuz my hair looks gross all wet so when I do have to leave somewhere I use a blow dryer and then kinda palm roll to help get the moisture out.

ughhh,I hate washing my hair because of this.since mine have gotten tight it takes so effing long! like mandy I make sure I have a day or so spare except the other day I washed em and then had to go out, I was literally dripping over everyone and thing! When I wash them I usually have em wrapped in a towel for a good hour. I blow dry once in a blue moon, when I can be arsed.

With my first lot of dreads I finally understood the old cliche "I have to stay home and wash my hair" lol

i wash 'em at night, so they have like a good 8 hours or so while i'm chilling at home/sleeping to dry. they're usually pretty decent in the morning :)

eh a few of mine got mildewy in the winter, I'm sure some summer sun and hot air will do em good. blow drying them takes forever. I say just don't wash em too much, or tie em up and jus wash the roots

have a friend drive you around with your head out the window for some time.
    it works way too efficiently.

I towel dry 'em hella thoroughly, and then keep a towel on my head for maybe half an hour while im doing whatever then blow dry.

Can't leave them to dry naturally cos
    ^this^.

My hair's really short though too. So that makes it easier.

Wring into my towel/wrap it on my head for a few minutes, then wring by hand and maybe tie my hair back because as it drips, it tends to take tangles out of the tips of my dreads if they're still forming (which quite a few of mine are.).

From there on, air dry. Although I guess I sort of do live in a desert. Taking a cruise on a skateboard or your favorite human powered vehicle will do wonders. Or I suppose if you have a jeep or other topless car, that would do great too.
