i didnt know it but i found out just now that he may run in 08 what is he like ? where can we read about him, what he believes in/stands for thanks
Bush would endorse him - McCain is by far the most popular, electable Republican available to run in 2008 without question.
No one in Bush's cabinet could beat McCain. Powell might make a decent run at him, but McCain is by far the most popular Republican in this nation today - fact. Powell and Bush aren't exactly in cahoots anymore either, hence his resignation. That leaves Ashcroft who lost an election to a dead guy during his career as a politician and Rice who clearly has no chance unless perhaps she was running against Hilary. Bush would endorse McCain, no question about it.
I doubt it. The Bush supporters will stay with whom Bush supports, and Bush will go for a member of his cabinet, my best bet is actually on Cheney.
Do you pay attention at all? Bush had McCain campaigning for him left and right this past election season. Cheney's health is too much of a liability to ever be considered for the top job.
Look Pavel, all I'm saying is you are highly underating McCain's legitimacy as a presidential candidate. Outside of Bush - McCain is the face of the republican party. McCain had the option of either joining the Kerry campaign this election or endorsing Bush. He chose to endorse Bush and Bush would return the favor and endorse McCain in 2008 without a doubt.
Well, if he hadn't had all those black babies then he would be our president now, fuck you very much Karl Rove.* *In the 2000 s. carolina primaries, The bush team did something that is called 'push-polling', basically they called people acting like they were conducting a poll but their real intention was to create disinformation**. They asked people if they would vote for McCain even if he had a black child. The racist south abandoned him basically because he adopted a poor child from bangladesh. Fuck i hate everyone involved with the bush administration now that powell has gone. ** Ain't that such a great word?
It would be nice to see the republican party move towards McCain and away from an American Inquisition... Lets be moderate and put the snakes away
Sorry but McCain lost his oh so honorable creds when he chose to endorse a repeatedly exposed liar and indeed the man whose own hatchet team conducted such a smear campaign against him. Just another hack more loyal to his party label than to the people of the nation.
It way too early to start naming names, McCain included. Should the pattern hold, it might be useful to look to state governors. Pres. Kennedy was the last Senator to go directly to the White House. Pres. Johnson, Nixon, and Bush (1st) were Vice-Presidents. Pres. Carter, Reagan, Clinton, Bush (2nd) were Governors. With 4 more years on his heart condition, I don't think Vice-Pres. Cheney is seriously considering running. Two years from now, it may be worth the effect to see which Governor has the ambition to run.
There's absolutely NO chance that McCain could win the Republican primary. He may be the most popular Republican in the nation, but he's not the most popular Republican AMONG REPUBLICANS. The McCain/Giuliani/Schwarzenegger wing of the Republican party simply does not have the sheer number of voters that the Santorum/Coburn/Ashcroft wing has.
