First of, hello everybody. I am 100% Christian (protestant, non denominational) so please do not say I am a heathen or a blasphemer. I have issues with the Papacy. This is the MAIN reason why. If the pope was God's representative on earth then why...

Would the pope need bulletproof glass on the car that carries him when on a visit or public appearance around a city or town?

I can see 11 body guards in this photo protecting the man some people say that God put into power to interpret the bible and defend Catholicism. Why?

There's the pope and his guards...... In the Vatican?? Why on earth would the pope need armed guards in the Vatican?

I'm not trying to bash Catholicism folks. All I'm saying is that if the pope were the man that God put on Earth to be the FINAL interpretation of GOD'S words, and to be the leader of the supposed one true Catholic Church, why would he need armed guards, bulletproof glass, and armed guards around his popemobile WITH bulletproof glass? Does he have no faith that God will protect him? If I were the pope, I'd have enough faith in God to drive around China, burning the Chinese flag, and shouting scripture into the crowds with only myself and a driver. No bulletproof glass, no guards... etc.

Thank you everybody who read this and God Bless :)

God has pretty much stopped doing anything that might force people to believe in him for the last 2000 years. Apparently we arnt good enough to smote, or even to send a good prophet to.

In gen 38:9-10, God smote someone for pulling out durring sex. Why hasn't he done this recently? The pope is right to have bullet proof glass, when he counts on god he gets tackled by crazy women.

I think you need a basic understanding of Catholic theology. The Pope is not "God's man". He is chosen to lead the Church by the College of Cardinals. The current Pope has also been attacked a few times (even in the past month). You'll also notice his Popemobile isn't covered. It is open.

god does not protect folly. Thou shall not tempt the Lord your God. Would you have the chutzpah to do that in china? If you die, does that mean God hates you?

The Pope's job is not to interpret the Bible, it is to lead the Church.

I also find it intriguing that you reject the One Church because the Pope does not want to die. Not because of the Communion of Saints, or some other theological point, but because of this...

(BTW- Ven. John Paul II was shot in the Vatican and did not die. Some have said that if he were to be canonized he should be labeled as Patron of Gun Shot Victims. His predecessor, some have suggested, was assassinated by Communists)

The worls can be a horrible place. The pope is at risk, just as anyone in a leadership position and in the public eye can be. Of course he is going to have security, if the Pope was murdered can you imagine the outcry.

I find it interesting when Christians bash on the catholic church. It makes me realize that most Christians know nothing about the origins of their own faith. If it were not for the Catholic church . You would have no Christianity. The catholic church is the direct result of the works of the apostle Paul. And 300 ad. Constantine and the counsel of Nicene chose what book would be in the new testament and what structure would be set forth for the church. It was after 1600 ad before any other form of Christianity broke off from the catholic church.

Now you turn and look at the direct fruit of the works of Christ and the apostle Paul and say the tree is bad. I agree.
