there was an interesting idea i came across a little while back...

i'll try to repeat it faithfully here.

basically it was describing how all the different cultural geometric motifs: indian, celtic, mexican, african, australian.. of relatively "ancient" cultures

are all different interpretations of the same thing, that have evolved through tradition, and a sort of cultural conditioning.

that it is all expressions of different aspects gleamed from sacred geometry of visions, which is most commonly viewed by means of transcendental experiences facilitated by psychoactive plants.

the cultures were isolated from each other, and their artistic styles sort of built upon themselves, developing their separate idiosyncrasies

i've always experienced, when seeing exotic patterns, that they represent cultures without names, like hybrid styles. the missing links, connecting the dots between the cultures. between indian mandalas and aztec architecture seamlessly morphing into native american animals into aboriginal dot art

sorry this is really incomprehensible what i just wrote, maybe i should get some rest.. take what you will from it.

nice topic rygoody i've never studied this Akashic Record concept

To me it's always been apparent that the cultural, artistic, and architectural similarities between geographically and socially separated ancient cultures can be attributed to the fact that the way the mind interprets nature and things outside of it is set upon a collectively fixed course (as deemed by evolution), and that humanity is not as vast and diverse as most people like to believe.

could it be possible that instead of some special substance that actually the world we perceive is the mind and the everything is actually just perception but because it all falls at once continuously it's hard to deny it as what reality truly is. Now if we could just notice that we do perceive the world and we see it right out in front of us, lets ask what exactly is perceiving this reality. what we find is that deep inside is a level of pure awareness uninterrupted, the stillness of the beloved that runs through all. so if we take lsd our perceptions are altered in the way of lsd but what is lsd effecting? the mind as well as the senses but what are the same fundamental tools being used that are used and relied upon on every single other experience in your life? The Mind and Senses. so even though yes your on a substance, that substance is only affecting the basic groundwork for all perception. So basically even when you take substances your still in the basic groundwork for perception, mind and sense. But running through all of this and always present is that stillness of whoever your God or teacher is, that ever present pure awareness. Heaven on Earth

I do think that LSD and other psychedelics can give you brief flashes from the Akashic Records but dont think that each drug has its own mini Akashic record. I believe alot of common visual traits and such of psychedelics just come from common archetypes, symbols, etc...

Fractals of the mind, mirrors of nature, awareness beyond the conscious, great intuition, a form of digestion for creation. Patterns in perceptions. Blah blah blah.

    Something or other.

so how do you know if you've accessed them or not? if you can get visions of them or whatever while tripping on acid, what is it like exactly?

not sure who would know this. but just generally speaking.

to the OP, LSD does not posses its own distinguished Akashic/morphogenetic field, it would have only a packet of information with its unique signature/resonance within the unified field, like any other vessel of energy information.
