Well Glen i'm genuinely more than happy to answer your questions because you've been respectful. The majority of the others, have not. Why? I don't know. I didn't do anything wrong to them. "All you care about is flaming. This forum deserves.." Is an altered quote from The Dark Knight by The Joker. I thought it was clever. I never even considered my scrap with Don.BK a debate. He came in completely unprovoked and offended/insulted/assumed/accused. Not only that, he was also a hypocrit who denied and avoided the fact that he did on several occassions. That is just completely unacceptable. I deserve an apology for such rudeness. All those other rats jumping in to attack the name of Christianity or me because of their assumptions on my life based on nearly nothing don't mean anything to me. TL;DR I got sick of trying to be serious because of all the people disrespecting me for no reason. It's the same old story every time I make a thread. Kids on this forum need to learn some manners and stop acting like know it alls because their heads are stuck up their ass. Cheers
OK, put your guns down ... put your guns down, you’ve been shooting your mouth off so much that you’ve run out of ammo and ended up firing blanks. This ‘scrap’ that you mention is non-existent, I never once entertained some battle over opinions with you. When you post something like this, what do ya think someone under the Vow would think?: What kind of custom built commitment is this, there is no such thing as ‘Half-Way Nazarites’ ... Check this link out, another custom built take on culture connect to the Biblical Scriptures: http://www.hipforums.com/newforums/showthread.php?t=369623&f=99 You see what this person has done with Rasta, well it’s no different to what you have done with the Vow ... and this is one of your fellow Christian peeps, got nothing to do with the Non-Christians out there ... I dunno what they teach you peeps at your sanctuary, but you better belief that it creates a perspective in you that can and often is very, very insulting to others out there that actually follow a Biblical perspective and culture, study the Scriptures and live life under the relevant Vows in a strict way. As far as Christianity goes, well, no you are not popular worldwide, maybe where you come from it’s seen in high regard, but you should remind yourself of what others around the world have experienced for many centuries ... the butchering, the inquisitions, imperialism, exploitation, indoctrination ... and considering that you are and aim to continue to be part of an institutionalised cult like this, well expect to get criticised, because for many peeps out there in the world, like the continent I’m from, Africa, the spread of Christianity is still an issue ... a very big issue. Now about this apology that you’re going on and on about ... forget it, it ain’t gonna happen, because it’s not relevant to the situation. The way you have been carrying on like a maniac just reinforces this. If I had done something that deserves an apology, then you would have it, but all I did was question your perspective of the Vow and state that Christianity is a contradiction ... and not to add more salt to the wound, but anybody, and I mean anybody that studies the Scriptures will tell you that Now, I’m outta here ... Take It Eas’ ... Praise H.I.M.
liek omg stfu already shit! nobody has attacked you once in this thread. you actually made several personal attacks on others in this forum. it's is obvious by the behavior that you displayed that you are not devout in your beliefs, and probably question them often. this can be seen in the defensive vibe of your posts, and your failure to answer goo questions about the claims you made. where you went wrong is picking and choosing which part of the nazarite vow you wanted to follow, and expecting nobody to notice. what was it 4/6ths? lmao. there are people here that follow the vow strictly. you are starting to look like such an ass clown. the best thing to do now would be shut up and think. nice work don bk <3 blessup!
Trash. Don't talk to me. I said 4/6 you have noooo idea what I mean. You have noooo idea what I do. You have noooo idea what my beliefs are. Yet you are still pretending to. Trash, garbage, pathetic.
Get yourself some reading glasses or stop being biased basedo n the fact that you like Don and not me. Don started it, not me.
very "christian" you, calling him trash. also, i do know what's going on. i read every word. you escalated the conversation by becoming defensive. i have no preference over either of y'all. until now that is.
Starting out saying "Christians are ..." Fill in the negative blank. That is escalating the conversation. He provoked me, not the other way around.
@ DonBK Two things I don't follow that Rastas do/do differently than Rastas #1 Don't be monogamous [Sorry, I respect women enough not to cheat on them during marriage unlike most Rasta's] #2 I follow the Five Pillars of Allah. Shahadah, Zakat, Salat, Sawm, and Hajj. Shahadah: I profess my love for Allah Zakat: I tithe at my local church Salat: I pray five times daily, inshallah. Sawm: I fast. This includes NOT EATING MEAT every day. [Including seafish unlike Rastas make excuses for] Hajj: I have been to Mecca to fulfill my religious duty. This is a symbolism of my solidarity inshallah. Allahu Akbar
check yourself, so are you muslim, now? please, dont talk shit about rasta... something you know nothing about. HE makes no distinction between religions... it doesn't matter what you are, only that you are good.
i think it would be wiser to just let them be. i dont see how putting a little bead in your hair would result in cobra sized locks. i mean thats just common sense. wait... unless you could find a bead of that size that wasnt too heavy you could try wrapping a couple dreads. but that seems like it would hinder the locking process more than anything. if all else fails, you could always just stick your head in a basket full of pissed off troll eating cobras and pray to Jah Marley for a miracle.
No I'm not from Islam nor do I feel that is appropriate to subscribe to their religion for a few other various reasons. I find their teachings to be prime to adopt, especially since they are Brothers to Christianity. They worship the same God, adore the same prophets, have very many similarities, have the same founding father Abraham, etc etc. So, it's ok to talk shit about Christianity, but not ok to talk shit about Rasta? You say I know nothing of Rasta... Clearly I know that Rasta men often practice polygamy, a grievous sin and disrespect to the mothers of our children. Clearly I know that Rasta men eat seafish and cover it up with excuses. So I must know something about Rasta? Two religions which hold many similarities? Interesting viewpoint... From an opposing perspective: Bubbles! :ninja:
Lol this fuckin discussion is wack no one follows rasta seriously enough to be considered rasta bunch of backcombed meat eating computer users
Listen Nattyfredlocks, I don't know how you peeps play where you come from, but in all seriousness, and as I'm not some 'turn the other cheek' type, I would have knocked your teeth out of your mouth by now ... so be mindful of what you say to peeps in the real world, because if you are taking this kind of attitude out there, well, you definitely are gonna be causing problems for yourself. PS. I have no idea what the PC thing is about ... but if you are connecting it to Rasta in some way, it's best you know that His Majesty never promoted a primitavist approach, His Majesty worked towards modernising and rebuilding Africa.
