I've been friends with a woman in work, for about 5 years now. In the last year or so we have become really good friends. We talk/text all the time, we get on well, I get on with her better than anyone I have ever met.

To cut a fairly long sory short, she is with someone but she is alwyas telling people she has one foot out of the door. So the other night I told her I really liked her that I was totally in love with her really.

She said she feels we have a strong connection, that she gets on with me better than anyone else and that she really likes me but there is quite a big age difference and she doesn't feel she can leave her GF for me.

She has tried not to text me so much because she feels she is messing wih my head but then she came up to me put her arms around me and said she had been listening to the music that was playing when I told her how I felt.

There is an awkwardness around us because of the chemistry we have and I just don't understand why she doesn't want to be with me. I love her so much I find myself bursting into tears and feeling so helpless. She is my soul mate and I just don't know what to do and how to move on.

She makes everything right and without her everything is grey. She makes me laugh like nobody else, she makes everything make so much sense. We share the same values, opinions, thoughts, ideas, creatvity.... When 'm with her I no longer feel alone, I feel like I can share everything with her and I have never felt lke that before.

She makes me smile and want to keep smiling. How can that be wrong??

:( its allways really differcult, when you fall for a frind.
you cant really force her to leave her GF, because in the end, that will proberbley leave 3 ppl really unhappy.
all you can do really is tell her how you feel, and wait it out.
but dont stop looking elsewhere.:) because we have more than one soulmate.
some soulmates just come into out lifes to teach us things.;):)

Goodness, reading that back it makes me sound crazy. I really don't want to be a person that splits people up or forces them to break up. I am nice, really. I'm just confused and feeling a bit alone.
